I remember growing up a Bucs fan and my father a die-hard and the most loyal Vikings fan on this planet. The Bucs and the Vikings would square off head to head every year from 1977 to 2001 as division rivals all though the Vikings played the Bucs in 2002, the first season the two teams played each other as nondivision rivals. The two teams have met and the Bucs have won 4 out of 5 of those meetings, the Vikings won the last time they visited Raymond James Stadium in 2014 and I think anyone could have easily beat Tampa Bay that season with their third team players starting the game. The most memorable win over the Vikings comes in 2000 with the Vikings coming into the game undefeated and the Bucs destroyed the Vikings 41-13 and I don't think
Does the team they played for have the most Superbowl rings? Troy Polamalu and James Harrison are the two best players to ever play in the NFL because their team they changed NFL defenses, and are some of the strongest NFL players and are some of the best at their positions. The way they play the game of football is awesome they just stand out in the games. They also are really strong James Harrison is the overall strongest OLB/DE to play the game. Troy Polamalu is one of the most, if not the most versatile Strong Safety/Free Safety to play the game. There were two coaches who coached them Bill Cowher, Mike Tomlin. The Steelers got their name from Cleveland republic steel 1962. The stadium is located in Pittsburgh, PA.
It is the reason fans fill the stadiums or turn them into ghost towns. If you were to look up success in the NFL one would probably see a picture of the Patriots. Six trips to the Super Bowl, fourteen winning records, and making the playoffs fourteen out of fifteen times within a fifteen year period are all hallmarks of their success. Comparing that to the Cowboys’ one playoff win, zero Super Bowl appearances, and five winning records within that same time span really shows which team has enjoyed more
Have you ever wondered whose hands our country was in at the start of our time? Captain John Smith was one of the first American heroes. He was the first man to promote a permanent settlement of America. William Bradford was a Puritan who was courageous and determined to set up a colony where citizens could worship freely. Although both of these men were two of America’s heroes, they had more differences than known.
18 touchdowns and 13 interceptions after being traded to Green Bay, Coach Mike Holmgram had
lose to the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs. In 1978 the NFL expanded to a 16 game season and the Rams go 12-4-0, they make it to the championships. and lost to the Dallas Cowboys by the score of 28-0. The Rams win their 7th. Division title in 1979 with a 9-7-0 record.
The Bears have had a very long history. They have been playing since the league started. The Bears have played all ninety-three seasons. Not all seasons have been winning seasons, but a good majority of the seasons have not ended in loss. They have created a legacy just as the New York Yankees have created their legacy. They have the most retired jersey numbers with thirteen and the most pro football hall of famers with twenty-six players. That is a very impressive feat for a football club. (Hitory by the Decade)
Every person ever associated with football knows how the game is played. They know every rule, play, stat, and anything else that can be recorded. There was a certain one of these people, though, that stood out from the rest. This was a man by the name of Vince Lombardi. Most people generally know who Vince Lombardi was. They know him as the former, and most famous, coach of the Green Bay Packers back in the late fifties and early sixties. They also recognize him as the man the trophy awarded to the Super Bowl winner, the Lombardi Trophy, is named after. This is all common knowledge in the football world. Do any of these people know who Vince really was? Do they know what he did to the game of football? Do they know that he changed the game, forever? Not many can actually say they know what Vince Lombardi did to the game of football that left a lasting impression. There can be arguments made of other coaches that have made great lasting impressions in football. Some names including: Bud Grant, Mike Ditka, and Don Shula. If you look more in depth at this though, they haven’t left that big of a lasting impression of the game. None of them really changed the way the game of football is played. None of them did like Vince Lombardi. He was the first to truly take risks to change the game of football. Through hard work, dedication, and an understanding of the game, Vince Lombardi was truly the most influential person in footballs history.
There are great times noted in the past. One of those great teams in the San Francisco 49ers. They have made history and are known as one of the type franchises in the history of the NFL. The 49ers are considered a dynasty to the media and fans. The 49ers are respected greatly for their Super Bowl achievements.
My family and I are big Giants fans, and one time, we were at a Giants game. At this Giants game, they were losing to the Redskins almost the entire game. At the end, the Giants were losing by six points, with about 5 seconds left to
On the plane ride home and in the airport I was still thinking about the game. The Carolina Panthers had blown out the Buccaneers by 30 points! Cam Newton scored 3 touchdowns himself! I was still excited about the whole game until I fell asleep in the
Friday night football - the night everybody is getting ready for. I can smell the grassy field and the sweaty players. It's five o'clock and I'm getting ready for the game. Taking my time with everything and making sure everything is perfect, from every single strand of hair being in the right place to making sure there are no wrinkles in my uniform. As I look at the clock, it says 5:45, I better hurry up because I have to be at the game at 6, and I still have to pick up your friend. I hurry out the door and speed down the road. As I race down the road, I'm looking everywhere to make sure there's not a cop anywhere. I finally get to my friend's house and wait for her. She comes running out of the house and gets in my car. As I go down the road, she is still putting her make-up on, making sure it is to her perfection. Finally, we reach the football field. We run down to the field, making sure we aren't late, but by the time we get to the field, our make-up is running down our faces and our hair is frizzed up. No one is there yet, just the football player's warming up and us. There is Jock Jams playing in the background to help get the players motivated. We start warming up so that we make sure everything looks good.
After the Seattle Seahawks' 23-0 victory over the New York Giants on December 15, I was interested in how often NFL teams travel on the road and shutout their opponent. During the game, the broadcasters informed viewers that the last time the Giants had been shutout at home was September 4, 1995, a 35-0 opening day loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Viewers were also informed that the last time the Seattle Seahawks shutout a team on the road was December 5, 2005 when they traveled to Philadelphia and shutout the Eagles 42-0. Exploring various sports news websites led me to comments suggesting that the NFL has a shutout approximately once every thirty games, on average, or about every other week. However, that takes all shutouts into account, and it certainly seems like it would be much easier to shut out a team at home than on the road.
“NFL games are as much a part of Thanksgiving as turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie,” boasts a side bar on the NFL’s website under their Thanksgiving section.
The all time least losses is the Houston Texans with 146 losses who used to be the Houston Oilers
One one thousand. The stands are filled with men, women, and children waving their hands and homemade signs. The cheers coming from the crowd make it hard for me to hear. I smell the hot dogs, popcorn, and pizza being sold at the concession stand. The marching band has just left the field with the tuba player’s last note still ringing in my ear. In the fourth quarter with us in the lead by five the scoreboard shows six seconds. The coach yells, “It’s time to go”! I strap on my helmet with great enthusiasm and head towards the field to take my position.
