 DESCRIPTION OF OUR BAND
I am a part of an eight, member band, who at one time or another have been playing together for five years. The first three years I performed with four of the eight members in a class and an all girls band, this year I have reunited with them again and four other members as a new group. Our band consists of three lead vocalists. Our ranges are all fairly large and quite different, giving good variety in voices for a range of different styles of music. Our ranges are Db3 - Gb5 (break at C5), Gb3 - C6 (break at Bb4) and E3 - B5 (break at Gb4). We have one lead guitarist, two rhythm guitarists, (one who is in year 11 and the other is our music teacher), a bass player, and a drummer, (who is also in year 11). We are a covers group and like to experiment with all types of styles, pop, rock, disco, alternative / grunge, reggae, soul, jazz, RNB, blues and some international pieces from various countries like Greek, Spanish, Latin American and French. We rehears five times a week, three periods of class time and two lunch times. As a group we believe that practice makes perfect. We expect each member to rehears solo parts at home and to have private tuition for extra help. We all love to perform and do it as often as possible, our gigs range from school fetes, festivals, concerts and speech nights to an interstate tour to different schools every year.
ASPECT 1
 PSYCHOLOGICAL ASPECTS ON PERFORMANCE
Every performer, no matter how long they’ve been in the business will be effected by psychological setbacks. These effects can cause major upsets to the level of a performer’s performance, so something must be done to control these feelings. All performers have different techniques to cope with these symptoms, and in this next section I will provide some of these.
 NERVES STRESS BEFORE AND DURING PERFORMANCE
Band is family. When your student walks onto campus, he or she is instantly adopted into the strongest society on campus. They will be spending their school days among the top achievers on campus, with fellow students who look out for one another and steer each other away from trouble instead of towards it. Teachers, staff, parents, and volunteers watch over all the kids as if they were their own.
The Granbury Percussion program is very young with freshmen and sophomores dominating the mass majority but to me that doesn 't matter. My plan is to not just sit back and improve myself and let the rest of the section slowly lose hope. I want every person in this program to realize they have a place here to contribute and I want each one to put 110% effort in everything they do. I also want to bring the group together not as small groups within the family but as one big family. I feel one problem we’ve always run into is sectioning ourselves off. To become a good ensemble we need to first come together and trust one another to play well with each other. The moment every member of Omphalo really became friends was when we came together and played our best and I would rather have our that kind of performance early on and build on it than end with it
Furthermore, our band had two concerts this semester. During our March concert, I was far more relaxed than my first concert. I felt that I played a lot better, and improved many aspects of my playing. However, I felt that I still needed to focus more on my dynamics, and listening to the rest of the band. In that concert we played Metrix, Water is Wide, Cold Mountain Saga, and Jungle Dance. Overall, our band improved, as we had better dynamics and articulation. However, we still were not together at times, and we sometimes ...

Several Russian authors employed a genre of literature called the society tale in order to critique traditions and expectations of Russian high society such as the concept of marriage. These society tales were very popular in Russia in the 1830s and included a mix of formats and styles. These tales examined different aspects of high society, such as power and money, and lead many authors to question the role of women in society. Authors such as Karolina Pavlova and Evdokia Rostopchina explored the role of marriage in society and the consequences of marriage as a whole. The concept of marriage in Russian society is discussed and judged in both A Double Life and Rank and Money. Whether a character marries
“Why Chinese mothers are superior” is an essay published in The Wall Street Journal in January 2011. It is written by Amu Chua, who is also the author of the book “Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother”. In the essay deals with the ever controversial question of how to raise a child. How to make your kids grow up happy, strong and self-reliant. Different cultures have very different perspectives on upbringing and education, and in this essay Chua presents the Chinese parenting method. The essay caused a large stir, generating more than 4.000 comments on the webpage of The Wall Street Journal and around 100.000 comments on Facebook. The global debate that Amy Chua started is not surprising, since the Chinese way of raising children is very disciplinary and it places very high standards, since Chinese kids are stereotypically successful, as Chua also mentions in the very beginning: “They wonder what these parents do to produce so many math whizzes and music prodigies, what it’s like inside the family, and whether they could do it too. Well, I can tell them, because I’ve done it.” (p. 9 line 6)

Importance of ethics in the business world is superlative and global. New trends and issues arise on a daily basis which may create an important burden to organizations and end consumers. Nowadays, the need for proper ethical behavior within
The stricter and more literal approach to separation of powers and Montesquieu as adopted by presidential systems such as the US for example, may confer its own benefits such as increased security and greater guarantee against tyrannical or arbitrary power. However, the efficiency, speed in deliberation, and an overall more wholesome and united government, all while in retaining its democratic principles, makes it so that it does not warrant grand constitutional reforms for the purpose of further distinguishing between powers. Though that is not to dismiss entirely the notion of a separation of powers existing within the UK constitution, but simply that it is more appropriate to address it as its variant, that focuses less on prioritising safeguards to hypotheticals, and instead to the cohesion, ‘blending’, or ‘fusion of powers’, which promotes efficient
An issue that has remained debatable since the Jackson litigation was what ought to be the ultimate controlling factor in the British constitution: parliamentary sovereignty or the rule of law. This essay sets out to consider the reputedly irreconcilable tension between the two fundamental constitutional principles by analysing the extensive obiter dicta in Jackson and relating it to judicial review which upholds the rule of law. The contention of this essay is that despite the courts' deferential attitude towards the sovereignty of the laws of Parliament, the rule of law may potentially gain dominance and surpass parliamentary sovereignty to become the ultimate controlling factor in the British constitution.
Ethics is so important in business because it gives a company credibility. When a company has credibility the consumers trust the company and will tend to buy from the company more regularly. Employees become loyal and are motivated to drive the business forward. According to Schermerhorn (2004), “an individual that feels secure in a working environment can move on to being more focused on an organization’s goal.” Creditors and investors show their commitment and confidence by funding company development and consumer confidence is positive. Ethical business practices build fundamentals of trust with colleagues, competitors, staff, customers and every other individual and entity. The result of an unethical practices can be declining profits and a loss of market share. However, ethics are cultural specific. “What it is considered ethical in one culture may be considered unethical in another (Chiu,
As a member of a Baptist church when entering we do not go to the altar and bow like a catholic member would instead we just take a seat until devotion begin. Baptist musician selections are more dramatic unlike catholic music is mellow. Baptist readings are not sections off into first reading nor second reading, however readings and prayers are placed in a random order every church service. Also we call the preacher/leader pastor instead of priest or father. We wear what we want to church as it is said “come as you are”. Catholic members has a dress code. My pastor always explain his text after reading, while catholic priests does not. The Catholic Church bibles are different from the Baptist church bibles. Although, both churches are different in many, however they do have a few similarity such as both believe in god and taking
During the Baptist worship, I observed many different elements that were different to my Catholic faith. As I’ve attended Catholic masses, there’s an intuitive structure of the mass that’s followed by each Sunday. Everything seems to be planned and formal. At the Baptist worship I attended, I felt as though there wasn’t as much structure or a typical way to go about the worship. The reason being is that, “these services do not follow any single standard plan,
