Animal Overpopulation In a world of limited resources and space, it is either the animals or humans; only one of the two can have their population unscathed and continue to dominate the Earth. Sadly, it is extremely heartbreaking to have to witness an animal be killed just for existing. There just is not enough room for both humans and domestic animals to equally share. This is why pet owners desperately need to take the necessary precautions to prevent the constant slaughter of these innocent animal populaces. Domestic animals are overpopulating the earth, and unfortunately, the solution to this problem is not a pleasant one; these animals need to continue being euthanized, spayed, and neutered regularly, need to have low-cost spay/neuter programs, and need to be adopted only by people who plan on keeping them for longer than a year. The number of available, competent and reliable owners in the United States dictates the number of animals that can prosper. One of the biggest arguments that animal lovers use is the idea that animals are equal to humans, and that we have no right to euthanize anything. Unfortunately for them, we are not equal to animals. We have much higher brain/mental capacities as well as better means of communication and the actual ability to euthanize other populations. There are many people who have not done their research on the issue/do not contribute any help whatsoever to it, but still choose to complain about animal overpopulation and how it is unfair to kill animals so regularly. They believe that the rate of saved animals should outweigh the rate of animals being euthanized.
