Equal pay is your entitlement to the same wage as someone doing work of equal value to you, the same similar work rated as “of equivalent”. This is often, but not exclusively, a gender issue. Women are being paid less than men for doing the same work. Despite the claims that’s say “Men can do better, more efficient job than women, and the way out economy is set up, we can’t afford to raise the pay of millions of female workers. Besides the fact of our economy, many women should stop working and concentrate on teaching children moral values when the children leave home and go to school. Saying this makes it seems that women are only able to bear children and just stay at home doing housework and looking after the children and are not supposed to be in work environments because it’s only a place for men and women seem as a setback in the working environment and only men should be there working and should be paid also being said making it seems women as the insufficient opposite. As my position being for the argument of women should be paid equally.

If women go to universities and acquires a degree becomes an expert in in that field they studied and then in their carer and performs the job just as well and to the standards and maybe even better than they should be paid for the services, they provide. why is when women work full time they earn 77% of what males earn? why is it also that women would have to work 60 or 3 months extra to earn just about the equivalent of what men earn by the end of previous year. This is not only classed as sexism but because of difference between men and women but paying them lower that what they should originally get it basically sends a message to women and men that no matter how hard you work they can never have an equal pay to men. For my argument I believe women should be paid the same amount as being said because if women do the exact job with that job comes the hard labour being put into the job.
With our constitution states that all people are paid equal, and if you are not getting paid an equal amount then “our nation” is not treating us right. which in many cases are still not settled and are still not being paid right. In a report I found that 4 out 10 American family’s women are the main and sometime the only source of income. saying this a woman could have children and being a single parent and having a low income to start with wouldn’t help much if your trying to support your family then for a man that maybe doesn’t work as hard a single parent and still manages to earn more than. To stop gender, pay gap I think a lot would have to happen in order for it to be fair and let women be paid as equally as men but living in the 21st century I think women have more of a step in business than men do. As women are now seeing doing things men can do and wouldn’t have to rely on them. but even so working in businesses women are still seen as a downgrade because they are women and are not seen as worthy of their time as spent working hard to get where they want to in career and then to be paid less because of what they are. Companies need to start valuing work of women as some of the hardest worker are women not just men, even working in the same role there is a tendency to find women working where the pay is overall lower, for example this is in the public or third sectors. We need to get this changed deeply so that we get better gender balance all across industries and then it wouldn’t cause a drift between one another if this doesn’t change then women will keep thinking they themselves with being worthless. employers should make very clear of their salaries are well documented and based on fair, objective, predictable and measurable criteria. Also I think this could be a big situation that happens in many companies to make sure that all supervisors and managers receive proper training on how to avoid wage discrimination I think could be something big because say (someone has a disagreement with some and they work dealing with wages and they pay you less because of the dispute between them both). Some employers, supervision and HR managers need to make sure all employment decisions regarding promotion, raise, bonuses. Employers should definitely avoid differentials based on sex, race, national origin or any other protected class unless they can be justified by legitimate and non-discriminatory reasons.

This shouldn’t be happening in today’s society for the fact the society lived in today is suppose to be more accepting. Whoever said that women do not have the same responsibilities to maintain? What really makes a women’s work inferior to men? The answer is nothing. Today, women are depended on just as much as men, and are capable of performing at their level. However, a full-time working woman earns only seventy-seven cents for every dollar a man makes. These days women make up half the workplace in our society; they work just as hard and for the same reasons.
