The 21st century is marked by significant improvements in the field of new technology and their rapid rate of adoption among today’s society. Habits and behaviours have changed as the population becomes accustomed to the use of these new tools.
The revolution came along with the increased rate of overall accessibility to an infinite amount of information and new ways to communicate with the world. In other words, we now have instant access to the global knowledge.

That is what Linden Lab started to probe when in 2003 they have launched an online virtual world called Second Life (SL). It started as one simple virtual island accessible to any logged-in user, who could then build any infrastructure he/she wished with an integrated 3D modeling script. SL users (also called Residents) are designing representations of themselves. They have to create what we nowadays call avatars. These virtual beings interact with each other and with the virtual environment reproducing the real world structures. A currency called “Lindens dollar” makes it possible to build a virtual commerce where residents are able to make a profit while living in a SL.
Asri Falcone, an early resident of SL, has said that she found a better opportunity to realize herself playing that video game. She has learned to code and gained basic knowledge of the in-game 3D modelling mechanisms. She then started her own
