Tracking kids may seem rude and creepy, but it has many more ups than downs. Tracking is now easy with modern technology as it allows parents and guardians to watch their kids with a steady eye while being at work or away from them. Parents may be alerted when a child leaves a certain area or is at a restricted area with the new technology. Opponents of this idea state that watching kids while not with them shows a lack of trust, but trust, as Mark Pawlick said, "Trust is earned, not given out [.]" Once the child has shown they'll do what is right and worthy of trust, they can be let off of tracking. Tracking isn't overly creepy or weird, as it teaches a child what is right and wrong.
Tracking can put restrictions on a child to teach them
The expansion of the Internet infrastructure across the world, has brought an increased audience. Which has provided expanded markets for businesses and exploited new opportunities. There are virtually countless social sites and media used by individuals to access and share experiences , content, insights, and perspectives. Parents today tend to believe they should spy on their kids online activity. I argue parents should respect the privacy of a child's social life and his/her internet activity.
There are, after-all, ways to be an effective, inspiring, and supporting parent without spying on the child’s every online
To begin with no technology is 100% secure, if the kids’ location can be visible to hackers, this information can be used to harm them. In the Article, Irvine mentions “Parents are notified by text message, e-mail, or phone” about their kids activities at school. This information is also risk as emails can be hacked, Imagine it can be used to kidnap kids of a rich or high official for ransom. Privacy is a serious matter, and hackers can also use technology to commit crimes against such families. Irvine says, “High-tech methods to track everything” are available, that's means that there is always someone watching. Irvine says, “Big Mother” or “Big Father” who is watching, but it can also be “Big Kidnapper” or “Big Sex Offender.” In other words, their kids will be under surveillance of many unknowns. Also anybody might forget their phone in public places and what if some crazy person got it? That person can use this information and see all the communication and find out where the kids are going. As a result, these devices can be tools for hackers to use to harm the kids...
In the mentioned previous case, the officers surveilled the house and discovered after about 5 days that the owner of the house has contact with children, which immediately gave them grounds and a reason to prepare a search warrant (Alison Crawford, 2014). Surveillance can be done by sitting stationary and observing a specific place or person, or it can be done through cameras doing it for the investigator. The benefits of surveillance are that it gives the investigators real, visual, usually recorded evidence that can help build grounds, give evidence, and be used in
If my parents decided to get a tracker and watched me what I was doing, I would not care about it at all. My parents has brought me up in a good way. My personal demeanors are neutral, and I do not have a concrete position about tracking their kids.
Tracking kids teaches them to only behave when they are monitored. If they carry that lesson into the real world, they will make bad choices that could endanger them. In short, monitoring a child’s private information leaves them with trust and developmental issues later in
The parents of the former hit TLC reality show “19 Kids and Counting” star Josh Duggar announced on Aug. 26, Wednesday, that their son decided to checked into a rehabilitation center after the ex-actor previously confessed molesting underage girls, cheating on his wife and being addicted to pornography. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar stated on their family’s website that Josh will undergo a “long journey toward wholeness and recovery.” However, the announcement did not reveal other important details such as the name of the facility center, the type of treatment that their son will receive or the nature of the rehabilitation. Aside from disclosing their son’s decision to enter a rehab, Josh’ parents stated that they are prayerfully hoping that “he comes to complete repentance and sincere change.”
The “Land of the free” is not so free after all. Human trafficking is the third largest international crime industry after illegal drugs and arms trafficking . Human trafficking is like modern day slavery; it is defined as the loss of freedom to another 's control by force, fraud or coercion. The United States turns out to be the #1 destination for child sex trafficking. I chose this topic because it interested me the most out of all other topics. When finding a topic to do research on, none of the topics left me asking myself so many questions. The fact that i barely knew anything about human trafficking, made me realize that there might be many people out there that are like me. People who probably think that human trafficking rarely happens,
Technology monitor for children and adolescents can be great tool , because as a parents our major concern is our children safety and knowing what are they doing or who they associated with can definitely be beneficial , however, after watching the episode from Black mirror I can also understand that we have to monitor our children up to a point because violating the primacy of the child could be counterproductive. We as parent needed to work in the family values, having an open communication with our children , being honest of our fears. I agree that It’s difficult for parents to raised our children thinking on all the dangerous situation that a child can face in the world. But the worst thing a father can do is to break their child trust, they
Paul Tomburro from CraveOnline has conducted research and surveys revealing the following: “78% - Parents who admitted they had logged into their child's social media account to check their messages” Consequently, technological advancement has pushed parents to resort to spying on their children because they want to keep up with them. Although spying can bring to light who their child really is and how they act when their parents aren’t around, it can easily cross the line of privacy and respect between parent and child. As the communication between the parent and child weaken, the more parents feel as if they are losing control of their kid and become paranoid and result to spying. However the solution is oddly simple, the parent just needs
Running head: CHILDREN BEFORE CRIMINALS CHILDREN BEFORE CRIMINALS 2 Children Before Criminals Jazlyn J. Ross Simmons College Children Before Criminals The medium-term goal of this advocacy plan is to enact House resolution 250 (H.250). This resolution, which is currently in the Committee …of the 115th Congress, when passed, will effectively eliminate life without parole for children, (United States Congress, 2017). The United States of America is the only country in the world where children can be sentenced to life without parole (Rovner, 2017), in spite of the fact that research exists proving that children's brains are
Imagine that you are at the mall enjoying a nice day out with your family; then suddenly the worst happens. Your young child has gone missing and you have absolutely no idea where they could be or what to do. You go completely numb and begin to freak out. Whenever a child goes missing it is a serious issue that should not be taken lightly and deserves immediate action.
There are many reasons why kids shouldn’t be on social networking sites because of stalkers and other surprises.
Has your child ever misbehaved in a store? Have they ever thrown a fit because they didn’t get what they wanted? Did they have a tantrum because they didn’t like the decision you made? Have you ever wanted to spank your child for misbehaving? Well, maybe you shouldn’t spank your child as a punishment. Studies show that when you spank your kid repeatedly, it can have negative effects on them. Facts also show that spanking your child isn’t only harming the child, but it could be harming the parent as well. Parents shouldn’t spank their kids or use corporal punishment as a punishment. The reason for this is because capital punishment affects children’s learning in a negative way, it affects areas of the child’s brain causing violence, and capital
