Telekinesis is an extraordinary power that some people possess. The human brain is complex, making it capable. Out on the internet, videos and articles will be found on to train the mind the power of telekinesis. There is also more than one type. Where it may not seem to fit into our everyday lives, telekinesis is real. Telekinesis is the ability to move objects with your mind. Some people do not believe in such a supernatural occurrence. Marc Breedlove decided to explain why telekinesis is possible, especially with the recent obsession with the Netflix series, Stanger Things. The show is set in the 1960’s, and at this time, doctors were really set on figuring out if telekinesis was real. They used experiments, such as seeing if the patient could affect the roll of the dice or not. “The human brain is the most complicated machine in the universe” (University, 2017). The brain is made of many brain cells that all work together. These brain cells are the reason for our strong emotions and that is the key component to telekinesis, having a buildup of anger or fear, with that you can do anything, like flip a van over. There are six easy steps: must stay relaxed, believe that it is true, visualize, practice, be patient, and improve you concentration every day. First, to come to full relaxation meditation is a good start. It is not required, but it will help relax the body and strengthen concentration. “False beliefs are a well-known obstacle to achieving anything” (WLP, 2015), which brings us to our next step, believing. The mind must know it is real and can be done. Visualization means to become one with the object you are trying to move. Feel the object and make it a part of you. Practice makes perfect like they always say. Taking 5-15 minutes of the day can be tedious, but it will improve the power. The more practice put in, the stronger it becomes. Finally, just be patient. This process is not learned overnight. It takes all the steps listed above to finally master telekinesis. There is not just one version of telekinesis either. There are three types of telekinesis. Telekinesis is also known as psychokinesis. “The word is derived from the Greek words for mind and motion” (Radford, 2017) First, there is the ordinary being able to move objects with the mind. Imagine a world where numbers, letters, tastes, and sounds have color. Imagine a world where letters and numbers have personalities. For a synesthete, this is their world. Synesthesia occurs from a cross wiring in the brain. Instead of one sense being used in a particular action, multiple senses are used. Although little medical knowledge is known about the condition, it is fascinating and continues to impact our world.
Carr mentions the affect that technology has on the neurological processes of the brain. Plasticity is described as the brains response through neurological pathways through experiences. The brain regions “change with experience, circumstance, and need” (29). Brain plasticity also responds to experiences that cause damage to the nervous system. Carr explains that injuries in accidents “reveal how extensively the brain can reorganize itself” (29).I have heard stories in which amputees are said to have a reaction to their amputated limb; it is known as a phantom limb. These types of studies are instrumental in supporting the claim that the brain can be restructured. Carr asserts that the internet is restructuring our brains while citing the brain plasticity experiments and studies done by other scientists. I have experienced this because I feel like by brain has become accustomed to activities that I do on a regular basis. For example, I rarely realize that I am driving when coming to school because I am used to driving on a specific route.
By contrast, our thinking (neocortex) human coping brain has the ability to learn and use language. These functions require the linking of learning brain cells we call neurons. Physicalism is the philosophical position that everything which exists is no more extensive than its physical properties, and that the only existing property is physical (Stoljar, 2015). This theory posits that the mind and mental states are no more than physical properties. There are two categories of physicalism: reductive and non-reductive. Reductive physicalism claims that all mental states and properties will eventually be explained by scientific accounts of physiological processes and states. Behaviourism (mental states are just descriptions of observable behaviours), Identity Theory (mental states are brain states, pain is no more than synapse X), and Functionalism (mental states constituted solely by their functional role, can be sufficiently explained without a physical medium) are all examples of reductive physicalist theories.

Force feedback reproduces directional forces that can result from solid boundaries, the weight of grasped virtual objects, and mechanical compliance of object and inertia. Tactile feedback, as a component of virtual reality simulations, was pioneered at MIT. The term haptics in its broadest sense relates to the study of touch and the faculty by which external objects or forces are perceived through contact with the body.
