Long ago in the land of Greece, an ordinary town of Olympia was once existed. Olympia had a perfect location at the foot of Mount Olympus, where the gods oversee the townspeople. Every part of the town was picturesque with beautiful, fragrant flowers and trees. There were many forests and tons of astounding life everywhere. The nature and life of the land were ruled by Zofea. Her gorgeous long as white as snow hair and a flower wreath that attracted all the magnificent butterflies and birds, made her look like a fairy tale exquisite kind goddess. Zofea was part of the family of gods. She had a large family which included Hestia, Zeus, Demeter, Hades, Hera, and Poseidon. In the town of Olympia, it was the beginning of Spring meaning that it …show more content…
Zeus hopped out of his comfy and cozy bed and shouted, “Hades might have it, he said that he needed some people to pass away and he knows the wreath is what gives you power.” Zofea began to search for Hades and found him standing near the edge. She saw sticks and flowers on his head and there were the rays of light were starting to be pushed away and it became dark and cloudy. She knew what was happening, Hades was destroying the world. Zofea could see flowers becoming frail and dark and falling as she saw people getting weaker and weaker every second. The people shouted, “ Save us! The gods are mad!” as they plummeted to their knees and faces. She ran toward Hades and took the wreath off his head, but he turned around and knocked her away. She stood back up and shouted, “ You're not helping yourself!” “Yes, I am. I’m doing what I should have done a long time ago something that you didn’t have the guts to do!” Hades screamed. “You’re killing everyone and everything! The people and animals and nature! You're destroying it all!” She shouted defending her …show more content…
What you were just doing was killing everything so you would have been right back where you started this time with nothing to kill,” Zofea calmly explained to him. He gave her the wreath back and responded by saying “I understand that I should have thought before I went ahead and stole your wreath in order to kill everyone, and now I understand why everyone calls me so greedy.” Zofea put on the wreath and everything became brighter and livelier. The plants and flowers started to grow taller and the townspeople regained their strength and slowly brought themselves to their feet. The townspeople shouted from below, “ Thank you for clearing everything up between you guys and not to sound greedy, but can we have more food than usual seeing what you put us through. Zofea gave them more food and agreed with Hades. She said, “I will let you take the lives of two people every hour and I will not help the people that committed horrible crimes and near to death. I will not hang onto everything so much and let things go.” Hades promised, “ I will think about my actions before I act and I won't be

‘Demeter’ is a poem about the story of Demeter. "Demeter was the goddess of harvest and Persephone was the goddess of springtime. Hades, the lord of the underworld, kidnapped Persephone. Hades fell in love with Persephone and asked Zeus to help him kidnap her so she could become his bride. The crops started to wilt and humans couldn't grow crops anymore. However Zeus told Hermes to bring back Persephone and to make sure she didn't eat any food from the Underworld. Hermes fetched Persephone. But before she left, Hades convinced her to eat 6 pomegranate seeds. Hermes made a compromise and said Persephone had to stay in the Underworld as Hades wife for six months. That's why there are seasons. In the fall and winter, Persephone goes down into the Underworld and Demeter mourns. In the summer and spring, she comes back and Demeter rejoices. " (1)
In the Hymn to Demeter, the rape of Persephone starts with her picking flowers and she comes across the hundred headed narcissus which "Gaia made grow as a trick for the blushing maiden" (HHDem. 8-9). This trick is set into motion by Zeus, but since Gaia plays the role of protecting the youngest generation, this is a foreshadowing that Persephone's ordeal will be for a good cause. Hades moves in to take Persephone when the grounds gapes open and she begins to cry aloud. Demeter hears her daughters screams but she is powerless against Hades, hence the separation of distance between them. The grief stricken Demeter goes through an experience which plays out the role of a symbolic death. this is because the relationship between the mother and daughter ends at a wedding.
On February 2nd, 2016, in trial of the Odysseus, the jury found the defendant guilty of both counts of unjustifiable first degree murder. While both sides of the trial had differing points, the defense had an overall weak and unconvincing case while the prosecution provided strong evidence of these unjustifiable murders using a variety of persuasive techniques.
After that he goes down to the underworld and asks the Fates if Hercules is going to interfere with his plans of taking over Mount Olympus by releasing the creatures of nightmares called Titans used for defeating Zeus. The names of The Fates are Enyo, Deino, and Pemphredo. The Fates tell him that Zeus will fall, but if Hercules is not taken care of he will interfere and soil his plans of taking over the world. He takes action with the advice given and sends his two scapegoat servants Pain and Panic to kidnap Hercules, turn him mortal, then murder him.

Numerous lively heroes ventured into Persephone’s clutches with the hopes of beating death, yet she explains that despite their god-like strength they too will die. Two such heroes were Theseus and Pirithous. When Theseus and Pirithous attempted to kidnap the Queen of the Underworld she enticed them to sit in the chair of forgetfulness where their flesh fused to the cushions and refused to relinquish them (Taylor 268). Persephone appears many times to offer food, drink, or rest to weary heroes in the underworld in order to trap them there forever in the same manner that Hades tricked her (Taylor, 268). Because of Persephone and Hades’ antics many people hated them as gods, but Persephone’s cruelty serves as a reminder that while death is necessary it is not always kind. In the same manner that Persephone accepted her fate, mortals must also accept their own imminent
In a society in which social position was vital for having a successful family, the Greek and Roman families internally struggled with one another. This constant conflict stems from the father’s desire for control and the society’s high placement of power. In the Greek myth Demeter and Persephone, Zeus’s interest for his selfish gains prompts him to “ ( give ) Persephone to the Lord of Dead to become his queen “ ( Rosenberg Demeter 96). Zeus does not ask Persephone nor Demeter, his beloved wife, presenting that he does not show any opinions on their feelings. Although Zeus in reality just wanted to have a powerful family with the addition of Hades, his love for power overrode his love for his family and created a tension between the other members and him. In another Greek myth, Jason and the Golden Fleece, shows man’s love for supremacy through ...

“I know I’m the reason for her death. Those hunters were after me, not her. It’s this goddamn curse. If I hadn’t known, if I hadn’t screamed and realised. I- I wouldn’t have rushed all the way to that house to make sure she was okay. They tracked me. She had nothing to do with it. If I wasn’t there she still would be. And now I can’t even make sure that she’s alright. Because the bloody divine forces won’t let me. Why?”
As a result Zeus let his brother, Hades go on a rampage against mankind in order to teach mankind a lesson and stop any of his relatives who would try to stop him in his tracks. • Hades releases his beast the Kraken to ravage mankind and punish them for their defiance against the gods. • Hades tries sends furies to deal with the people who would tear down the statues of the gods along with those who desecrate their statues and tries to stop Percuss by sending the king that defied Zeus that was as a result changed into a hideous creature that seeks ravage against Zeus and his son, Percuss.
