Evolution in fact is real ; Not only did things change over time but we can prove them by the fossil record . Fossil records prove that evolution is real because fossils show the past and present ; SO we can look at all these fossils and compare and contrast . When we compare and contrast we can see that they are somewhat similar just small changes . SO when we point that out we can see that those to fossils were related but over time they adapted to something new or didn't need a specific thing and it causes them to change . For example look at giraffes ; A while back giraffes had short necks (because short was dominant over tall ) Not many giraffes had long necks but just a very few did , giraffes main food supply was high in trees the giraffes with long necks could reach up in high trees and eat the food but the giraffes with short necks couldn't eat the food . The giraffes with short necks eventually died because they couldn't get food and the giraffes that were left were long necks ones , meaning they were the only ones who were left to breed . So with only long necks to breed long necks giraffes were evolving . …show more content…
Embryology proves that evolution is real because , In class we looked at the fish , slander , chicken , human , turtle and a rabbit . All very different animals but all of their embryos look almost the exact same . This doesn't mean that all animals are the exact same but it does prove that all embryos are very similar . Not only does it prove that all embryos are similar but it does prove that all embryos are some what related to each other . If evolution isn't real all of theirs organisms would probably look very very different or may not even exist .Below is an example to show the many different embryos and how they all look the same in the beginning and later change
Evolution is deemed as being scientific because it is testable and correctable, unlike creationism which deals with “God’s will,” an unchanging and set in stone philosophy that contradicts any scientific notion it attempts to deliver. Evolution is the scientific explanation to how organisms developed the forms and functions
Evolution is described, as being the change that occurs on a genetic level when a new generation spouts from an ancestral population. Change is destined to happen. That is why in the science of biology the word evolution means descent with modification. Through various factors such as the temperature of the environment, humidity, and altitude a species will adapt to survive and will eventually pass on genetic traits that help the species next generation survive.
What is evolution? Evolution in modern terms is fairly easy to understand. Evolution is the theory that life on earth began with a single celled organism that lived more that 3.5 billion years ago that slowly evolved into many diverse creatures over time. When you break down this theory into sections you get 6 factors: evolution, gradualism, speciation, common ancestry, natural selection and nonselective mechanisms of evolutionary change.
The first type of evidence that I believe supports evolution is the homologous structures. This could also be known as the genes of species. This can be proved through different fossils being compared to modern species. Through the process of looking at the genes, finding sequences of genes show that evolution can happen. From finding the sequence of genes, this shows that the species will have common ancestry but may be different species or have different characteristics. This idea can prove evolution.
Charles Darwin also showed how new species were created on the acts of evolution. It is easily explained by having big differences from the effect of natural selection, which were considered to be new species. So back in the beginning, before the effects of evolution had occurred there was just one specie, which evolved to make the species that we know today. So somehow all species are somewhat connected. The basis of what Darwin was proving was that life on Earth is simply the result of billions of years of adaptation to the changing environments. That is why certain species can only live in certain climates. This can be explained with the color of your skin, or the growing of plants.
One of the hottest debates is and has been nature vs nurture for years, but what is the difference between the two? Nature is what people think of as already having and not being able to change it, in other words, pre-wiring (Sincero). Nurture is the influence of experiences and its environment of external factors (Sincero). Both nature and nurture play important roles in human development. Scientists and researchers are both trying to figure out which is the main cause in development because it is still unknown on which it is. The best position to side with is nature. Nature is also defined as genetic or hormone based behaviors (Agin). Regardless of the involvement in everyday life, or nurture, this argumentation centers around the effect genes have on human personalities. Although it is understandable on reasons to side with nurture, nature is the better stand in this controversy. Reasons to side with nature is because of genes and what genes hold. Genes is what
In the Evolutionists believe that dinosaurs lived on the earth for 160 million years before the sudden demise about 65.5 million years ago. There are many theories on how dinosaurs disappeared, but there is no evidence. For years paleontologists thought that this event was caused by weather, climate changes, and geological changes that interrupted the food supply. Some scientists believe that a plague swept over and decimated the dinosaur population and then the animals that ate their carcasses. Some evolutionist also believe that some mammals big and small ate that baby dinosaurs and the dinosaur eggs until there was no more lest and therefore wiping out the dinosaur species.
Evolution views life to be a process by which organisms diversified from earlier forms, whereas creation illustrates that life was created by a supernatural being. Creation and evolution both agree on the existence of microevolution and the resemblance of apes and humans but vary in terms of interpreting the origins of the life from a historical standpoint. A concept known as Faith Vs Fact comprehensively summarizes the tone of this debate, which leads to the question of how life began. While creation represents a religious understanding of life, evolution acknowledges a scientific interpretation of the origins of life. The theory is illustrated as the process by which organisms change species over time.
Specifically the phrase, “’That is not real evolution’” (Russell 6), and proceeds to say, “If you have similar questions or objections, this chapter is for you” (Russell 6). Evolution is an arguable topic that brings debate in the United States as well as other nations. Scientifically, proof of evolution can be brought about in experiments as well as Russell’s favorite, history. Religious views is the consideration that forces this book into the category of subjective.
Long neck, camel-like shape, panther like shading and horn-like ossicones don't make everyone wonder what happened: giraffes are actually odd. What might happen if changes began transpiring? Consolidate giraffes to develop them and find their most inquisitive, outlandish and odd structures!
Title: Why do giraffes have long necks? Modern giraffes have long necks because their ancestors’ necks became longer as they stretched to reach leaves high in trees. (Allen, 2014) Scientific Conception
The theory, therefore can be proven today just as it has over the course of history. Through tested scientific research evolution cannot be overturned by any new observations or findings. If scientists notice any physical or behavioral changes in organisms it can be assumed that evolution is taking place. That is how researchers know that evolution is playing a role in the organisms lifespan. Such as a birds beak changing from island to island because of how it adapts and obtains food and nutrients. Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection in other words survival of the fittest, has shaped most scientists viewpoint on evolution as it is known today. The theory states that only the strongest survive. That is not necessarily true in all aspects. The organisms with the best traits passed down will usually survive is what the theory is trying to characterize. Although uncovered fossils have not proven that evolution is true, it can be proven through scientific research, physical or behavioral changes in organisms, and Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection. Scientific research has stated that evolution is taking place everyday throughout the world. If scientists notice any changes in an organisms usual migration path or even physical characteristics they can assume that it is evolving due to another outside force or organism. According to Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection evolution
The theory takes into consideration the biological processes of natural selection, mutation, symbiosis, gene transfer and genetic drift. Science concept Charles Darwin Charles Darwin was a naturalist born on the 12th of February 1809 in England. Darwin grew up loving nature and went to Edinburgh University. On the trip around the world, Darwin collected natural samples including birds, plants and fossils. Darwin found a particular interest in the Pacific islands and South America.
Evolution Vs Creation Whether you believe in God or not, we all know that we came from somewhere. The real question is from where? Since we all have different minds and opinions on how we came to be, it will be hard to make someone believe exactly what you think or believe. I believe in creation.
Without evolution, and the constant ever changing environment, the complexity of living organisms would not be as it is. Evolution is defined as a process that results in heritable changes in a population spread over many generations (8).Scientists believe in the theory of evolution. This belief is based on scientific evidence that corroborates the theory of evolution. In Figure 1 the pictures of the skulls depict the sequence of the evolution of Homo-sapiens. As the figure shows, man has evolved from our common ancestor that is shared by homo-sapiens. The change of diet of homo-sapiens over time has thought to contribute to the change in jaw structure and overall skull shape.
