When people assume that archery is simple they may even question whether archery should be considered a sport. Some feel that archery does not compare to other sports that require lots of physical strength. It’s difficulty tends to be underestimated.
Solution
A. Description of the solution- In general, this should be your “topic sentence.” For this portion of the speech, it should be a topic sentence on the what you propose should change about the issue/topic. What prompts this discussion?
How it will solve the problem Examples of proven success- again, be concrete. Don’t speak in generalizations.
A. Archery requires consistent practice, physical and mental strength, and a scientific understanding of the equipment. When shooting an arrow, core muscles are required to keep your abdomen straight, leg muscles are used stabilize your body and back and shoulder muscles are used to hold the bow and pull back the string. Continuous practice is needed to build up body strength to hold the bow steady while aiming at full draw. In order to reach 70 meter targets, most olympic archers have bows with a 50 lb draw, which means pulling back the string is like lifting 50 lbs with one hand and holding it steady. My coaches have told me that moving just 1 mm while in full draw can result in the arrow being off by 3 inches at the target. The arrow type and length must be fine tuned to the bow’s weight. Archery is fascinating and requires a vast skillset to be

Bass makes some great views and made some great points in this essay. Many of these views I agree with and some I did not. Hunting makes us better human beings and contributes to the success that we have in life. Hunting forces us to use our imagination and give our brains a workout as well as allowing us to cope with the fact that we may not always get what we want. Hunting generates determination as well as confidence that can help us in life and help achieve our goals. I have made many memories with my family while hunting and those memories are some of my favorite. Hunting is something that overtime will change you, but it almost always for the

You can see how in this persuasive speech outline the topic and thesis are stated in the introduction, the reasons for giving blood are the main points in the body of the outline and the conclusion contains the call to action. Other ways of organizing a persuasive speech outline are "problem--solution", comparative advantages, criteria satisfaction, and motivational sequence.
The draw weight of the longbow was eighty pounds. That is a lot of weight. Soldiers hated the draw weight of the bow because they couldn’t pull back on it and thought they might get killed easier if they tried to pull back on it (longbowdynasty.org). King Edward I thought that if the bow had a great draw weight on it the soldiers might get stronger while there fighting. Another reason is soldiers could pull back on the bow and release quickly and kill people faster. This hypothesis proved to be true as the English soldiers did fire more quickly causing the opponent to die faster (historylearningsite.org). As soldiers used the bow more often they did get stronger and could draw the bow easier than they could when they first started using it. Soldiers preferred the longbow over the crossbow because the crossbow had a draw weight of 120 pounds. That is a significant amount of weight compared to eighty pounds (militaryhistory.org).

Bowling and Golf both share unique aspects of their individual sport. Bowling is considered an anaerobic activity, while golf is an aerobic activity. In bowling, one usually does not get sweaty or become suddenly out of breath, however, in golf, since one is consistently walking to retrieve their ball to where they the ball landed, both sports have their own purposes of exercising. In addition, in a Chicago Tribune article, Bowling may be a sport, but is it work?, by Marla Krause, interviewed the head coach of a boys' bowling team at New Trier High School in Winnetka, he says,” As exercise, it may not be like running or swimming," Durkin said, "but it takes some leg and upper-body strength to throw hard and hook the ball.” As this course taught
While watching my video I did notice that I was able to understand and clearly know what the main point was. I spoke in a clear and a tone loud enough for everyone to hear. The speech was organized very well, so one idea or thought flowed to the next. I don’t think I need to change anything in regards to my central idea being clear. I was satisfied with that part of the speech.
Bang! To most people, this sums up hunting. Hunting has been a means of survival for millenniums. While no longer necessary, I hunt because this hobby gives me an adrenaline rush and I get pride from helping to support my family. This pride comes from knowing how hard I have to work. Deer hunting includes much more than the split second of firing a gun in the woods.
I try to do this but it’s hard for me to get up in the morning. In the evening I like to be siting about two hours before legal shooting hours are over. The only major thing I have to do different is be close enough to the deer to get a shot. When I am rifle hunting I use a 30-06 which goes about 2,910 feet per second, my bow only goes 300 feet per second. This basically means I have to be a lot closer to my target in order to hit it. This to me is one of the most frustrating part of archery

“Sports are for fun, but they also offer benefits and lessons that carry over into all aspects of life”. This well-known anonymous quotation conveys the message that sport is the game which has some rules and custom. It is not only for fun and entertainment, but there are also some benefits of playing sports and which gives some important lessons for life. Every kind of physical sports is healthy because it involves running, jumping, stretching, mind skills and much more. There are so many sports available in the world nowadays, but we can categorize them by the numbers of players, the three main categories are individual sport, dual sport and team sport.

In conclusion, archery is a deceivingly challenging sport, and many underestimate it, perhaps because of its simple execution or maybe the lack of information on archery. Archery is a social sport, so whether you choose to practice it for fun, competition or for hunting; it is important to build on your skills and abilities. Archery helps improve self-confidence and most importantly, it teaches patience, focus, and coordination. Furthermore, archery is beneficial sport, which is a source for conditioning a person’s way of living, relatively inexpensive and full of enjoyment.
The benefits of sports range from physical, mental, and social. Exercise keeps people fit, develops healthy muscle tone, and reduces heart and lung problems (Oak, Manali). Sports studies have shown that “youth are motivated and engaged in ways that do not happen regularly in any other parts of their lives. Their experience of sports stands out from nearly all other activities, including socializing and schoolwork, in providing enjoyment where they are exerting concerted effort toward a goal” (Larson, Reed, and Sean Seepersad). People who play sports bond over a common interest. This opens up children to meeting new kids and socializing with many more. In Kindergarten, I played baseball. Even though I did not truly understand all the mechanics of the game, I met new friends and began to develop motor skills. This was very useful starting at an early age and pushed me to stay active throughout my life.
