Archaeology is a rising field in which discoveries of our past are held within the realms of archaeological sites. The findings are becoming valued in many countries around the world such as Korea and Africa. Not only are archaeologists acknowledging its importance, but so are local communities. Therefore, in order to assure productivity and order, as we see in the article “A Review of Codes of Ethics in the United States and Ethical Dilemnas Surrounding the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act ( NAGPRA)” by Jieun Kim and Dawnie W. Steadman, the field of Archaeology comes with the need for a common ground as to the values in the field through a set of code of ethics. In particular, acknowledgement of the local community is crucial in order to conduct studies. In the article “ Public archaeology, knowledge meetings and heritage ethics in southern Africa: an approach from Mozambique” by Albino Jopela and Per Ditlef Fredriksen, we can see the manner in which the needs of the local community of the site must be acknowledged in order for the research to thrive. Although there may be disagreements in terms of archaeology between the archaeologists and the communities, education of both parties is crucial. Ladd argues that attempts to make professional codes of ethics are confused about the nature of ethics (Ladd, pg 130). I will be arguing that Ladd’s thesis is not true and that the supporting arguments for his claim do not hold up. To do so, I will first be stating and explaining Ladd’s arguments for his thesis. Next, I will show why these arguments do not hold up using reasoning and counterexamples. Lastly, I will consider possible responses to my arguments from Ladd and disprove those as well.
For years on end, countries have been fighting with big museums from other countries for ancient artifacts that belong to the original countries. The argument of whether or not the museums should be able to keep them still remains. It is the right of the country to have their own artifacts. It is imperative for countries to be able showcase their historical artifacts, therefor museums should return them to their rightful owners.

In “Whose Culture Is It, Anyway? ”, Kwame Anthony Appiah begins by pointing out that some of the museums of the world, particularly in the West, have large collections of artefacts and objects which were robbed from developing and poor countries. He then raises a question: who owns these cultural patrimony and properties? Our first answer may be that since they make up the cultural heritage of a people, they belong to the people and culture from whom they were taken. Appiah has doubt about this and argues that if some cultural artefacts are potentially valuable to all human beings, they should belong to all of humanity. He thinks that when they make contribution to world culture, they should be protected by being made available to those who would benefit from experiencing them and put into trusteeship of humanity.

With her mother dead and her father distant, she lacks a guiding force in life. Parents should be the first and longest lasting teachers in a child’s life, passing on lessons and offering support for their growth. In order to understand Forensic Anthropology we must break it down into the components. According to Oxford American Dictionary the term Forensic is significant to the use of scientific methods to investigate a crime. Anthropology is defined by Oxford American Dictionary as the study of societies, cultures, and human origins. The combination of both, Forensic and Anthropology, consists of applying the principles which are introduced by Anthropologists to solving a crime. Forensic Anthropology is currently a small field but is expected to grow in the upcoming years due how it is being portrayed in books, television shows, classes, and many other resources. The usage of this field is becoming crucial because of how gruesome the crimes being committed by criminals are becoming. Although Forensic Anthropology is currently a small field it requires a lot of education, carries plenty of job responsibilities, and continues to aid in the solving of crimes.

My personal code of ethics act as a foundation for distinguishing good from bad deeds and assists me to determine the rightful emotions and actions to engage in. My family, friends, and the society play a major part in the development of my personal principles and values, including excellence, integrity, responsibility, ambition, respecting family, accountability, and determination. The values enable me to associate well with my family, colleagues, friends, and the society. This paper describes my personal code of ethics in detail and compares it to the United Nation’s (UN) Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the NASWA Code of Ethics.
All human societies and communities have basic ethical principles that constitute certain moral codes. People formulated these principles and rules many centuries ago; they are fundamentals that structure human behavior and as such are included in all major religious and ethical systems. One of these basic rules is “do not steal”, something children are taught from their very early age. In our rapidly developing and dramatically changing contemporary world, ethical issues and problems are becoming ever more important and urgent. Maintaining basic ethical principles in a variety of settings and conditions requires more than accepting major moral values; it calls for courage, commitment, character, and strong and flexible reasoning and judgment. Ethical principles have been developed by different philosophical teachings and theories that analyze and structure worldview principles including, as one of their basic parts, ethical issues. In their everyday life, people often use words “good” or “bad” defining by them what they understand as ethical, or moral behavior or that which is immoral or unethical. They normally make no discrimination between ethics and morality, although the former “seems to pertain to the individual character of a person or persons, whereas morality seems to point to the relationships between human beings” (Thiroux Jacques P.20). The simple definitions of “good” and “bad”, however, turn out to be complicated and even controversial when we try to formulate consistently the principles that underpin them or define standards for judging and evaluating these norms.
