In the story “Antigone” you are introduced to two characters, Antigone and Creon, they both share traits of a tragic hero, but Creon better fits a tragic hero then Antigone does.
Creon survives the whole story and most of it revolves around him even though the story is named after Antigone.
First off, Creon’s world shatters around him in a matter of 12 hours, he loses so much because of one choice he makes and won’t change.
Creon wants to die after seeing his wife, son, and niece kill themselves in less than an hour, but Choragos tells him he will die when he is meant to, “All that will come when it will” (Sophocles 138).
The story ends with Creon’s world falling apart which is one reason he is a tragic hero.
