A bijou mammals with plush fur and honed claws, or cats, is one of my fundamental priority. Aside from cats, family and school is also important to me. My interests for the moment is animals rights. I try to help the abused animals by spreading the word of animal cruelty and help make a difference. Hanging out with my cats are my uppermost hobby. Besides cats, I take pleasure in reading and adore sleeping. My family and I live by the phrase, treat people the way you want to be treated, which was a quote my elementary principal said each morning announcement. So I live by the moral, Being just and fair. This improved my speaking skills by making me think before I speak. It also helped my family not discriminate people by how they act around other people. We value each other, thought that we should value others too. …show more content…
This year, my goal is to not procrastinating and take tangents while doing homework and school work.
I intend to at least get honor roll both semesters and hopefully get straight A’s in on my progress reports. As for my future, I have already constructed a blueprint which will commence after my college years. First, I want to employ as a flight attendant for a Japanese airline, such as JAL Express or ANA Wings, so I can travel the world. Few years later, I would like to teach Japanese at a high school. Along the way, I would volunteer as an animal activist and help fight for animal cruelty. After my teaching career is done, I would love to own a cat café at Ventura. One thing I find significant is factory farming. I felt that factory farming is wrong and should be stopped immediately. I strongly feel that since we take their lives for our food, we should at least respect them. I’m somewhat both audacious and obstinate, but I like to refer myself as a calm person. I believe initiative and strength is my strongest characters. Since I always try to finish my task that was given and try to think
ahead.
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened” - Anatole France
In terms of my personal identity, I would say that based on my experiences throughout my life, I considered myself to be hard working, especially when it comes to pursuing my goals; honest; generous, I like taking
Choosing a career path that is both enjoyable and sensible is crucial. By researching the necessary education, skills, daily life, job demand, salary and job satisfaction of veterinary technicians and lawyers, I am able to decide a future career. In the personal aspect of my life, I enjoy working with people and helping care for animals. This leaves me conflicted on what career path to take. By weighing factors such as education, salary and job demand, my choice is to follow the career path of a veterinary technician. Technicians earn a degree within two years, while a lawyer take seven years or beyond. By completing a two year degree, I can have a job position quickly, doing something that I love. When looking at salary, it is obvious that
I can 't recall when I realized both my parents were veterinarians. Their work was simply a part of my life and brought me exciting and wondrous moments such as holding a newborn puppy after a tough delivery or seeing the outcome of a difficult surgery. I grew up on a ranch with many animals, large and small. Numerous other animals were brought home for either treatment or to be fostered while finding a home. My first real job was working summers at my parent’s animal hospital. I always assumed having and caring for animals was normal. In retrospect, I was incredibly lucky to have had such unique opportunities to experience veterinary medicine first hand under my parents guidance.
Throughout the next 10 years, many of my goals will be achieved. One educational goal I hope to achieve would to be to get my Associates degree in Agronomy. Once getting a degree in agronomy my goal would be to work at a Co-op as an Agricultural Consultant or a Farm Manager. During college, a personal goal would be to continue helping my dad with our cattle and swine operation, then to begin to start my own operation. Another goal is to get my State FFA Degree this year and go on to get my American FFA Degree.
It's hard for me to say where I'll be in the years to come, already my life has strayed from the path I once thought it would follow. However, that doesn't change my motivation or determination to reach and excel at my personal goals. My whole life I've endured a system that dictated what should be important to me, and while it's helped me learn the practical skills I need outside of an academic setting, I have a passion to grow further from what's expected of me, and so with much enthusiasm I look forward to attending college in which I hope to achieve more by constantly learning and expanding my personal knowledge.
I have been passionate about animals since I was little, I have dedicated my time to having them in my life. I have over 300 shadowing hours at a veterinary clinic, along with caring for my dogs, cats, and my bearded dragon. I also have been working since I was 16 in order to care for my animals, and help save for my college tuition while at the same time going to high school. Everyone has their struggles in high school, and it is okay to ask for help. I have had to several times, either from teachers, or fellow student tutors. It is from them that I progressed in my struggles and moved on. Even today, from what I have been through in high school, I help my younger siblings with their homework and teach them what I have been taught from high school and tutors, and I plan to carry these with me to college.
The first trait that comes to mind describing who I am would most certainly have to be empathy. Over the years empathy has been a defining characteristic of who I am as an individual. This certain trait just happens to be in collaboration with all including my friends, myself, and the strengths assessment, making this trait one of the most important. It is said that I use empathy widely among the interactions and communications I have with others. In one of my worksheets for understanding myself, my best friend Austin stated, “You can sense others emotions and often relate to anyone.” This is also backed up by the strengths assessment which states “You can feel what they are feeling as though their feelings are your own.” Within
Turning into a veterinary specialist is a flawless profession decision for the individuals who cherish creatures. Amid the present economy, investigating another profession could be a change of pace for those out of work. A veterinary specialists obligations are continually changing from everyday, the compensation is aggressive, and the employment includes being around creatures throughout the day! Those are recently a portion of the motivations to investigate changing profession ways to the veterinary field.
Often when asked what they want to be when they grow up, most children reply a doctor, his or her favorite superhero, or a firefighter. As a kid, I always responded with a veterinarian, another popular answer among kids. As I grew older my answer stayed the same as my interest in the physiology, morphology, and behavior of animals increased. Presently, I choose to become a veterinarian and also to minor in wildlife conservation. I plan on graduating from college with my DVM/PhD to further the research of animal species and discovering cures, behavioral patterns, and extinction prevention methods. After watching the show Cosmos, narrated by Neil DeGrasse Tyson, it has come to my attention that in the Cosmic Year humans have only occupied earth for a mere 14 seconds. In those 14 seconds of the cosmic year humans have caused the mass destruction of not only
College is the main goal of my life. It is a life dream to go to college to get a degree and get a successful job. Everything that I have done until this point is to get to college. During my senior year I plan to apply to many colleges and to take the SAT's to get into college. My GPA and SAT scores will be crucial for me to get into college. With college I will further my business career, making more successful in the field I enjoy doing.
I am able to work incredibly hard on things I love am able to master them. This is the central piece of my character, and it can be seen through how I pursue my interests in sports and other such activities. When I was three, I saw golf on TV and decided I wanted to play, and did, for years, playing well above the ability of people my age. When I was four, I saw my dad playing chess and wanted to play. I continued to play until my team took 4th in the nation in our division. Now, I play ultimate frisbee. I played third through eighth grade at Seattle Country Day School. Though that first team was for fourth and fifth graders, I was unfazed and pushed on. Later, in middle school, my teacher had everyone in my class write down an obtainable goal
The two areas that best reflect my strong suits are respectful and inspiring. (Steadiness) Respect should not be taken lightly and people want others to show them that they are important. I am not the one to belittle, talk down to someone, embarrass the other person, or not acknowledge someone because they are not like me or do not hold a certain position. People respond in a negative manner and become very defensive when others treat them in any of the ways previously mention. I look at how I want others to consider when speaking and interacting with me. That is the way I have to try to handle myself when dealing with others. Taking calculated risks is what I do best because I cannot stand losing too much if the results do not outweigh the risks involved. I am also very critical on myself and can point out faults in a heartbeat. I have to analyze future actions before I act on anything because I do not want to go wrong or too far away from initial path. Repeating myself or actually running through multiple scenarios takes up a lot of time. Being overly critical on myself will eliminate some of that time that I cannot get back.
In my future I have expectations to achieve excellence. After this school year I plan to get a summer job. This will help me prepare myself for my future. I plan to attend a private college in Indiana after I graduate high school. I am aspiring to major in communications. With a degree in communications there would be many opportunities for me to get hired into a job I would love. I plan to work for a business that reaches out to the community. I would love to become a missionary for a church. One of my biggest goals is to start my own party planning business, this business would be faith based. I have had this dream for a while with the understanding of hard work and dedication it takes to start my own business.
Working with animals is something I have always wanted to do. Animals are my life and my passion. I have loved being around animals ever since I was little and I have never been scared to be around any type of species including snakes and lizards. A couple of years ago I actually got the opportunity to go to a summer camp where I took a zoology class. This class consisted of various things such as holding snakes, bugs, jellyfish, crabs, and axolotls. This experienced just fueled my passion for animals even more and I wanted a job that I would be able to work with animals. Animal care and service workers is the type of job I want to go into; they get to bathe, feed, groom, exercise, and do other things with all sorts of animals.
