Life is unpredictable. We, the human race are very good at understanding the past, but cannot grasp an understanding of our own future. Life is funny when it comes to circumstances that make you who you are. The littlest occurrence could impact your life in more than a million ways. For me, it was fourth grade, the yearly trip to the annual Ringling Brothers Circus where I was first introduced to animals being used for human entertainment. It was not until a few years later where I volunteered on a farm that took in uncared for animals in which I understood the abuse and cruelty; we, as a whole human race put animals through. Over the next four years at Arizona State University, I hope to use my passion for animal protection to gain an understanding of their well-being to teach new ways to inhabit these animals for their safety. …show more content…

Working with these animals at such an early age, I understood how important it is to comprehend each and every animal’s brain activity and the environment they are being kept in. At ASU, I will be taking a program in zoology and ecology to add on to my prior knowledge of these animals behaviors. Zoology; to learn the behavior, structure, and classification of animals. Not only wanting to learn to basics of the animal anatomy; ecology, to gain an understanding of microorganisms interacting with other organisms in its surroundings. For the purpose of learning the environment, they can be around and live within, especially for companies such as Zoo’s, Circus, Marine Parks, etc who keep their animals in closed
