I admire how powerful Hozier’s voice is when he begins to sing and how it fills up a room. The lyrics of this particular song are very emotional, inspirational, and relatable if someone is in love with another person. The first time I ever heard the song “Better Love” was on a commercial for the movie trailer “The Legend of Tarzan”. I recognize the voice, but I was not familiar with the song. I eventually looked up the song and found it was a new single he released a few days prior to the movie trailer release. The beginning of “Better Love” has an unusually mysterious sound to it. Hozier uses various sounds and melodies, and off-beats to start off and throughout this song this particular song. The song starts out with a piano and multiple drum beats, and it quickly builds up as it progresses to the chorus. The rhythm of “Better Love” overall is andante. I would pick andante to describe the pace because it is a decent speed; however, one part of his song speeds up to moderate, but overall I would consider it to be is andante. The rhythm in this song has a meter of two beats. The dynamic starts off very soft but ass it progresses on to

"Wanting you back” Don’t we all love a tragic love story? In the song “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars, you can feel his anguish by listening to the song its self and also by watching his music video. Bruno strays from his original upbeat songs and goes to the piano to play his mournful melody. This song of Bruno’s gives examples of how he wishes he would have treated a girl in the past better, so he could have her in the future. He also wishes her the best and tells her he hopes the next man can do all the things he should have done when he had the chance.

Did you know that the best kinds of lovers are the people that start out as your friend? This is shown in the lyrics of the R&B song "Lovers and Friends", sung by Usher, Ludacris, and Lil Jon. This song is about two people who have been friends for a long time and now are ready to take the step into being lovers. In "Lovers and Friends" the writers use sensory description and figurative language to show the theme that friends make the best lovers.
Women in the Romantic Era were a long way from being treated as equals; they were expected by society to find a husband, become a typical housewife, and a good mother. So what happens when women get tired of being treated horribly and try to fight back towards getting men to treat them as an equal? Both Mary Robinson’s, “The Poor Singing Dame” and Anna Barbauld’s “The Rights of Women” show great examples of how women in the Romantic Era were disrespected and degraded by men, whereas all they wanted was to be treated with respect and dignity.
However, it becomes more prominent in the middle of the song when the drums begin. This also gives it a flexible sounding tempo. The beginning and ending of the song sound much slower than the middle when all the instruments are playing together. The song contains what sounds like a duple meter which is easier to hear in the middle of the song thanks to the more prominent beat. For me, I hear two melodies that are easy to remember.
In the case of little Dill Harris the song that comes to mind with his loving heart is “mine” by Bazzi, so he could express his true love in song. He would sing, “Girl, I lose myself up in those eyes/ I just had to let you know your mine. ” For how much Dill says he love Scout, he still treats her like on of his belongings, which she is not to thrilled about. Although she waits for the day that he would become a proper gentlemen that she could someday marry.
