A complex social criticism comedy plays role with the wealthy social class Paris. It has many great and remarkable elements. Start with the Cinematography, and editing. And some other elements didn’t make sense for me and that’s doesn’t mean it’s a bad. It just the director choice and vision. I’ll enumerate what i liked first then what i didn’t. The Cinematography of the The Rules of The Game was really incredibly great. There is a lot of zoom out movement to get another subject in the frame. And i don’t know exactly how they did it but it was really as smooth and pleasant as what a dolly can do. The clean close ups were extremely effective. Moreover, point of view shots were used often in this piece. It has a fabulous moody reaction …show more content…
When they went to hunt the rabbits and birds Jean Renoir used different shots of the rabbits and birds before, during, and after to convey the feeling. Smooth Dissolve was used as well to shift from day to another. What i didn't make sense for me is what might be the deep theater kind of blocking. For instance, when the Schumacher was chasing Marceau who was playing around with his wife, we see Christine and the guy who acted with her leaving the place as well. now this is was confusing for me because it’s destructed me and i couldn't know who am i supposed to follow. That’s happened again in the fighting sequence, a lot of actions were all over the screen. For sure, This is a great difficult way to block a scene, but i didn't feel well watching it. Last but not least, The Rules of the Game is unevenly acted, The acting was a little bit too cold and for some scenes even though it’s kind of Comedy. I’m not sure if this is the movie mood and the director creative choice. Or it might be the French style of acting. But what i’m sure about is that I couldn't get attached with the characters due to what i think is a cold performance. And what i consider it a cold performance, other might
I have recently finished the book and movie The Westing Game. The book had more detail than the movie Get a Clue. They changed some of the characters and removed some of the character in the movie. I will talk about the characters and the movie. The Westing Game was a great book.
It was very nice to read something that had a lot of drama and suspense. This story has a mix of everything. It has a bit of suspense, drama, and comedy; therefore, it led it to be a very nice play. This documentary portrays the life of wheelchair-bound individuals that are professional rugby players. A few of the players take the spotlight in this independent film such as; Mark Zupan, Joe Soares, and Keith Cavill. These particular individuals were chosen as the icons of this movie because of their phenomenal spirit and determination. The most heartfelt and inspirational story was of Mark Zupan who plays for the United States Quad Rugby team. He was the victim of a tragic car accident provoked by his best friend who was driving while intoxicated. This misfortune left him paralyzed from the waist down while his friend was unharmed. Zupan is an amazing individual that was able to forgive his friend and still involve him in his life. He

“I hunt more dangerous game….” Similarities and differences can appear anywhere, especially in the short story and the movie called The Most Dangerous Game. They have similar, yet different expositions, characters, and plots with conflicts. Many people say that books or short stories are better than movies because of the similarities and differences that are found. Books or short stories are usually more descriptive, informative, and do not stray too far from the central idea or main theme, while movies only fall into one or two of these categories. Movies hardly ever fall into all three categories, however if they do the movies become better. This is not the case with The Most Dangerous Game. One place where movies and short stories have major similarities and differences is at the beginning of the story or the exposition.

...transition between each stage was flawless. I enjoyed that screens were used to create the background for each scene allowing for the smooth transitions. The screens gave the appearance of being three-dimensional making the scenes seem much more real. I also enjoyed the lighting being used as spotlights during some of the scenes and being used as a transition between scenes, or day and evening.
Film Analysis - The Notebook Introduction The film is portrayed in the past and present scenario setting. It is based on a young couple’s love and passion for one another, but are unexpectedly separated due to the disapproval of the teen girl parents and the social differences in their life. At the start of the movie, it displays a nursing home style setting with an elderly man named Duke (James Garner), reading to an elderly woman named Mrs. Hamilton (Gena Rowlands), whose memory is inevitably deteriorating. The story he reads to her is a love story about two teenagers named Allie (Rachel McAdams) and Noah (Ryan Gosling), that met in the 1940’s at a carnival in Seabrook Island, South Carolina.
Due to the film’s quality and interest it became an award winning film. The film had excellent sound effects such as the battle scenes. The image quality was also outstanding; it used many different angles to depict the actor to make you feel involved in the scenes. In the action scenes the most common viewpoint used was a close up shot which allows the audience to see and feel the intensity of the scene. The second viewpoint mostly used was a tracking shot due to the actors c...
Most of the film was shot with 50mm lenses on 35 mm cameras. This technique carefully lets the audience see the film as though watching a ‘live scene’. This has the effect of drawing the audience closer into the action.
When analysing the narrative structure of a film in order to determine how it may serve to articulate a discourse in the relationship between reality and fantasy it can be extremely useful to consider the aspects of the narrative which may make it “complex.” “Complex” narratives often explore ontological issues and epistemology as key story themes, taking from the other title of this type of narrative the “mind-game” film. Whilst this name refers to how these films use their narrative in order to play with the viewer’s perceptions of the film they are watching, many of these mind game films take this idea further, also making the story of the narrative about the mind by considering how the ideas of fantasy and reality may be affected by how
This film is a multi-genre film— science fiction and film noir— which creates a very unique stylistic world. The film is characterized in the science fiction genre with flying vehicles— police cars and advertising blimps—, the futuristic city with congested streets, and advanced technology—picturesque billboards, Voight-Kampf machine, picture phones, and voice activated photo analyzers. It also depicts the movie genre of film noir with its low-key lighting consistent throughout Bryant’s office and Deckard’s apartment, the claustrophobic framing with various characters—the overcrowded nightclub—, heavy shadows caused by venetian blinds in Deckard’s apartment, and the rain soaked landscapes during the night.
In our film The Clock Is Ticking, by Ashley Angel, Dayana Borja, Raquel Garcia, and Vanessa Saldivar, the film shows Kat giving instructions to the soldiers using two shot, eye level, and pan to show the authority that Kat seems to have within this group of soldiers. Kat seems to be the father figure of the group trying to watch over them as his own. For example, he was the one to guide them to go out to find resources they needed, and he did the hard work around the village. Nonetheless, because Kat shows leadership skills, the soldiers look up to him more than a leader and a mentor.
Talking about creative and technical elements of the film, production design gets more impact to the film itself. Since this film has gay characters, they make it look as bright as every gay’s personality. Cinematography was technically on point but there’s one scene I’ve been wondering if it’s intentionally undone. When John reminiscing some of his past memories, that scene eventually stopped and then proceed to the other scene. That part is hanging me question in my mind. Screenplay is a bit timely and really funny since today is an era for the millennial people. In my understandings, the “theater play” part represents the flow of the movie. It connects on the happenings of their lives. Good transition of every scene,
I like the film very much. I think its one of the best films I’ve seen ever. The comedy in the film is just my humour, and the action was okay.
