Everyone has different understandings of happiness. For children, happiness can be interpreted as playing all day long, having many toys, and gathering with their family whereas for salesman, happiness can be interpreted as selling a lot of merchandise as they will get a great profit. Even though it is difficult to define happiness, but everyone agrees that happiness is having some aspect like having a prosperous and pleasure life, enjoying freedom from any suffers, and living the life without anxious about anything. In this essay, the writer will discuss about one of the inspirational movies which based on true story which is The Pursuit of Happyness. This movie was released in December 15, 2006, directed by Gabriele Muccino. The scenario of the movie is written by Steve Conrad. When the writer read this movie title, the writer thought it was a misspelling mistake for the word happyness. It should be happiness. After watching the movie, finally the writer figure out that it is not a misspelling mistake. It is made by purpose. The movie wants to tell the viewers that happiness is the results of someone’s work. Happyness becomes happiness. The letter “i” can be interpreted as individual. It means that your own happiness is not pursued by other people. Stacey Charter said do not rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. The only person who is responsible for your own happiness is you. If you cannot love and respect yourself, no one else will be able to make that happen. So happiness is not only about the results of someone’s work, it is include the process how we get the happiness. To achieve the happiness you should work hard like Chris Gardner did. When you lost your hope, come to God, He will strengthen you to through your obstacles and He will help you using His
I Comes Before “U” in the Alphabet and in Happiness Throughout life, one faces many responsibilities that could be taken upon; furthermore, sometimes one responsibility conflicts with another, causing a person to struggle to find which responsibility is more important in his life. In addition, for one to live his life in a manner that would make others content would be foolish, because this person would feel unsatisfied with his accomplishments and no one else would be completely pleased; It is impossible to make others completely happy, due to the fact that everyone would want and expect different things from this person.

Also, the angel helping George Bailey relates to christians in so many ways. Plus, christian values were revealed when was praying to God. In the essay Why Happiness, Why Now? Sara Ahmed talks about how one’s goal in life is to find happiness. Ahmed begins her essay with skepticism and her disbeliefs in happiness. She shows her interest in how happiness is linked to a person’s life choices. Ahmed also tries to dig deeper, and instead of asking an unanswerable question, “what is Happiness?” she asks questions about the role of happiness in one’s life.
Happiness is a feeling that everyone tries to accomplish, yet some people sometimes only capture portions of it. In Brian Doyle essay, “Irreconcilable Dissonance,” he explains that divorce is becoming common among many couples today. Most couples are putting less effort into making a relationship/marriage work. There are many couples who get married, and most of them know that if the marriage does not work that divorce is always an option. With divorce in their back of their mind they lack the true meaning of having a happy marriage. In Eduardo Porter essay, “What Is Happiness,” Porter states that happiness is determined by people’s qualities in their life. People who experience a positive viewpoint on life and about others are overall to
Happiness is also a part of growing up and being human, some people experience it abundantly and some very scarcely. You can gain happiness or lose it, Soraya, Amir’s wife says it like this “I'm so afraid.
While watching the scene of Joel getting his memory wiped clean of clementine in “Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless Mind” you see a few different strange occurrences happen. This leads me to believe Joel is in REM sleep during his procedure. I have come this conclusion because our book states dreams during REM are “often emotional, usually story like, and richly hallucinatory” (Myers and Dewall, 11: 103). Throughout Joel’s procedure you see he experiences all three of those dreams. An example of Joel having an emotional dream would be when he cries out for the people working on him just to keep this one last memory. Also Joel is emotional while frantically trying to escape memory lose by running with Clementine.
But in this debate, one question still raises its head - What is happiness? Happiness is not actually leading a luxurious life, but the luxury of living a life. Happiness is not actually about expanding your business, but it lies in expanding the horizons of life. Happiness is not having a meal in the most famous restaurant, but having it with your most beloved family. It does not lie in attending honorable parties, but to attend a party with honor.
The movie, The Pursuit of Happyness, gives a real life example of how actions of others can affect one’s

Happiness is an inner state of well-being and fulfilment, and therefore it has to come from inside. Every individual has his or her own emotions and way of thinking and as a result of this no one can really say what happiness is and what happiness is not. However, universally, happiness is a by-product of a healthy attitude and viewpoint. Happiness exists in everyone whether they choose to acknowledge and believe it or not. It is not rare nor is it something only the elite have: everyone has it but not everyone recognizes it. Contentment is finding a light at the end of every dark tunnel and in order to experience this we must ignore the pessimism surrounding us and remind ourselves that happiness is not a materialistic object but a choice and frame of mind.

Achieving long-term personal happiness is possible with hard work and perseverance by using several methods. Understanding and following various steps to have fulfillment can change your life. Happiness is a feeling that humans naturally desire. Without it, one feels incomplete. In this generation, happiness has taken on a definition by how we are presented to one another. It is measured by how much money we have, how famous we are, or the things we possess. When in reality, none of these things guarantee a happy life. Happiness is something that cannot be bought with money, but rather, it must be found, earned, sought after. Each and every one of us has our own list of things that we consider to make us happy. However, happiness shines brightest through the relationships we create, and the goals we make for ourselves to strive after. Along with these two essential sources, we then can mix and match those things in life that we enjoy to create our own unique formula for happiness.
Throughout my life, I have learned to see that happiness is not such an inaccessible dream. Although its notion varies from one person to another, happiness is often times only one inch away. Some people will experience happiness in the pursuit of it. Some will find it in sacrificing themselves for greater goals. Others will find it in people’s company, in lust or in drugs. There is no recipe for success or happiness, and it is only up to us to define what we want from life, and how we want to get it. The only certain thing is that it is never too late for anybody to achieve their dreams, to make peace with their feelings, and ultimately, to be happy.
