The quote “sometimes you make the right decision, sometimes you make the decision right” really stood out when deciding on which quote to use. To me this quote means regardless of what decision you make, make the most out of it. There is no point of making a poor choice worse, find a positive, and get through it. Growing up I had one brother and one sister that I saw on a day to day basis. Growing up, not having a father to look to I had to be the man of the house at a young age. I always looked at my family and wanted to just be better than the people before me. I knew I had to break family chains that have been going on for too long. I got into sports as early as I could even remember. I knew how to dribble a basketball and how to catch a football before I knew how to ride a bike. So being in elementary all I did was play football and basketball. Being in elementary everyone would say that I was better at basketball and football then the other kids. Moving to Phoenix was a shock just because I was used to diversity. Adjusting to Phoenix was a struggle but you have to make the most of what you’re presented with. Going to my middle school was different because of how small of a school it really was. Being in middle school I saw students in high school and it was just different. I struggled my middle school years because I felt like I was that new kid in class. So I grouped with other kids that were in my same situation. We all loved playing sports and we all hated living in Arizona. Playing sports in middle school was almost just like playing in elementary. Everyone would tell me Im a really good player but I didn’t think much of it. I didn’t know of the opportunities I could obtain through sports.
