Me: You are a very famous character today, I still see you like Hulk instead of Mark Ruffalo. MR: Yes, many people have said the same to me. The more famous involved, the more people following a cause. Does The Climate Reality Project have any connection to The Solutions Project? MR: They have the same goal of having a cleaner world. Me: The Solutions Project… Where does the name come from? MR: The Solutions Project emphasizes, redundantly, the solutions to the issue of using fossils to create energy. We convince people to perform a transition from using fossil fuels to a wind, water and solar renewable energy system. In order to do that, we share information about how using fossil fuels affect the environment; and how beneficial the renewable energy system is for everyone (“The Solutions Project”, 2011). Me: Would you be interested in share some of the benefits of getting into the renewable energy system? MR: First of all, to get a new energy system, new jobs have to be created; so, economy grows up. Secondly, it is estimated that energy can get cheaper in a 20-year term. Lastly, having clean energy means having a cleaner world, which is positive to ourselves because it makes us healthier (“The Solutions Project”, 2011). Me: I realize how badly climate change is affecting us now. It’s important that everyone takes action about

Global warming is one issue that the United States has been facing for many years now. Never has this issue been taking seriously, but it is not just an issue only this current generation will face but also the future generations will have to deal with as well. Not just something that can be overlooked for too long. It need attention and needs to be worked on. There are many things connected to global warming, all can have bad effects on the society we currently live in. It is a growing concern over the last few decades, about what it is, how it’s caused and the impacts it has on society. Many wonder what the United States government, big corporation even individuals have done to help the environment or even what should be done.
Energy is a daily necessity we take advantage of without fully understanding the consequences of creating it. The electrical energy that we use as consumers comes from power plants that then convert other types of energy to electricity. The most common way this is done is from burning fossil fuels. The only benefits to this method is the low cost and the growing demand for oil, natural gas heating, and other products refined from fossil fuels. The repercussions of this cheap practice is the environmental and physical harm caused by the fumes and other byproducts of using fossil fuels. One main set back of this method is that people may not continue using it forever. Fossil fuels are nonrenewable resources that have come from millions or years
been in movies for my generation and I can relate with the stuff going on in his
Our country is currently suffering energy-wise, we have been powering with inefficient sources for years now and the harm that it is doing to the country has started to become apparent. Renewable energy is the only way to stop, or at the very least set back the inevitable downfall of our ecosystem. I think that the next big breakthrough for renewable energy is implementing off-grid communities that use renewable sources as their main sources of power, so that we can potentially escape the energy rut that we got ourselves stuck in.
The year is 2200. The world is going through a fossil fuel shortage. Oil reserves are almost completely consumed and it is becoming impossible to find new fossil fuel sources. Not prepared for this event to occur, The United States, has no alternative options. As a result of the oil shortage, the standard of living deteriorates. Heat in homes, supermarkets full of food, and transportation, all basic necessities taken for granted, will be depleted because fossil fuels are used to power almost everything. The key to the prevention of this future is renewable energy. Unfortunately the support for the use of renewable energy is weak and ineffective. Unless the US puts forth effort to research and promote the use of renewable energy to consumers, conversion from fossil fuels to renewable energy will no longer be an option.
As technology is extended and brains are put together, the future slowly begins to shape itself. Generally in the world today, the renewable resources as well as the benefits they present have been tossed aside. This is due to the fact that in order to maintain and distribute these powerful sources, a large amount of money must be spent. The resources that are often used are easier to locate as well as acquire, whereas the renewable resources are often times located in areas that are not as easy to access. However, “The price of wind and solar power continues to plummet, and is now on par or cheaper than grid electricity in many areas of the world” (Randall). From this many demonstrate that the cleaner alternative could be the future for mankind. A recent survey was done, and out of 103 votes approximately 71% of the votes agreed that renewable resources were a cheaper alternative. At this moment approximately 97.5 quadrillion BTU’s or British thermal units, are consumed in the United States each year while only ten percent of this number consumed is a renewable resource (U.S. Energy Facts - Energy Explained, 3). This means that ninety percent of the United States energy bill is spent on non-renewable resources that will eventually become a back stabber. If the amount of money spent on these ever depleting resources could be centered upon making
Closer: I hope everyone realizes our climate change and can help slow down the process. We can all take action today, small steps add up, if we all do our parts in cleaning up our planet.
While experts don’t altogether agree on the effects of Climate Change, it appears decision makers of the world have recognised changes in our climate and how this is having an impact on populations and economies. This is proven by measures governments are taking as well as the coming together of the international community to address the problem. We can only hope we are doing enough - and in time.
Climate change is an intense subject in the science community and humans are a big part of the problems we have. There are melting ice caps, greenhouse gases, and many other problems that we could have stopped early on. We could reforest our communities and cut back on fossil fuels to help make it better and try to decrease it. Even though there are some sceptics
As has been noted, renewable energy resources can seriously impact society as a whole and provide for a safer and cleaner environment. Although renewable energy resources are usually more expensive than non-renewable energy resources, their benefits on the world outweigh any cost difference or accessibility concerns. Fossil fuels play an active role in polluting lands and the air that humans breathe, and for that reason they should be eliminated and replaced by renewable energy resources in the near future. Slowly but steadily the non-renewable resources that humans use everyday are disappearing, but they can put a stop to it by using renewable energy resources such as solar energy, wind energy, and hydropower energy. Renewable energy is the future of the world.
