Among the Hidden
In Among the Hidden, there is a shadow child named Luke, and Jen shadow children are illegal. Luke one day is just looking out of this little spot through his air conditioner, and he thinks he seen another face at his neighbor's house. Therefore when everybody at Luke’s house has vanished, he goes to his neighbor’s house. He breaks in her house and the alarm goes off. He then gets tackled by a girl named Jen, and they start to get to know one another in order to gain each other’s trust. Jen reveals her secret of being a shadow child just like Luke. Now that Jen and Luke know that they are both shadow children Jen want to protest to make shadow children legal again because she doesn't think being hidden your whole life is right. They think that 3rd children reduce food, but they didn’t because there is a lot of food Jen claims that’s why “3rd Children” became illegal in the first place. If shadow children are seen by other people, those people are usually called population police, they will come and fined the family

I think this because Trump built a wall for illegal immigrants. The reason why 3rd children became illegal in the first place was because of food, even though there was still enough food for everyone. There would most likely be way too much food and people would become obese. I can also think of the population police to be ICE, which are the immigration police.
I can relate to the shadow children from Among the Hidden as immigrants because they’re both illegal. Trumps wall would probably keep all the shadow children over the wall. The reason why I think that is because that’s what he has already done just so he can keep out immigrants. Trump has also set a ban on some other countries in Africa like Sudan, Libya, and Somalia. He has done this because he thinks some terrorist are going to come and mess up the United
In the story “Some Tings Lie So Deep”by Denise Barnard, the main character is named Jewel and she tis struggling with her sense of self. Her mother has been diagnosed with cancer. “Living the American Dream” If you look up the meaning of the American Dream, you will keep finding definitions similar to this one: “the ideal that every US citizen should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative.” The real meaning of the American Dream, however, varies from whom you ask. Many people argue that the American Dream is alive and well, whereas others might argue that the dream is pretty much dead. If you ask me what I think, I personally believe that the American Dream was once a farfetched goal of the people of America, where people dreamed of going from rags to riches. Though the dream might still be alive, it is no longer what it used to be.
Some of the internally barriers were Ashley and Luke were emotionally, verbal, and mentally destroyed. Since the mother would always say to Ashley, “Sunshine, not today, but soon”, as when they would be back together again as a family. Mainly she was messing around with their head as when she was coming back for them. The more times they seen the mother they got their hopes up as being a family again got them shot down. The mother always tried bringing gifts to show the children her love, but it wasn’t enough. She continued still to do drugs, which made the process of seeing her children impossible to be with her again. For instance, they feared they would be stuck in the foster care system for a long time.

Currently, there are 11.7 million undocumented immigrants in the United States; 6 million of those immigrants are Mexican-born (Preston). Within that undocumented population are individuals who were brought to the States as children. These individuals have grown up in the American culture and consider themselves American, but struggle with being treated as second class citizens due to their undocumented status. On June fifteenth of 2012, the Obama Administration announced the executive order Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). This order will allow immigrants who were brought illegally to the U.S. as children to apply for work permits and avoid deportation (Hennessey and Bennett). President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals is not only beneficial to it applicants but also to the United States as a whole.
Wooldridge thinks that the rate at which these undocumented immigrants are having babies in this country is uncontrollable and fears that one day, they may outnumber the population of American Citizen and start a sudden attack on American citizens. Wooldridge wrote again that these children are not only threats but cause American taxpayers colossal amounts of money annually on their health, educational and basic needs. Wooldridge mentioned that not only do they cost us lot of money but are major perpetrators of criminal or deviant behaviors which cause them to end up in our various prisons-another economic disadvantage. Wooldridge mentioned that our congressmen watch unconcerned as the problem escalates. She also thinks that they “admire” the “illegal immigrants” and “their anchor children”.

It was this little girl’s brutal death that prompted her parents, Richard and Maureen Kanka, to fight for broad based community notification. Megan’s parents believe that if they had known that a pedophile lived nearby, this heinous crime...
Every year, hundreds of thousands of immigrants, legal and illegal, from around the world, come to the United States. These immigrants come because they want a chance at a better life; others are refugees, escaping persecution and civil wars in their home country. Many people believe the United States is the best place to go. There is more freedom, protection, and benefits, which seems like a good deal to immigrants. But the large number of immigration is affecting the current citizens of the United States. Taxpayers are forced to pay for the welfare and schooling for many of these immigrants, some who are illegal aliens. Some citizens believe that immigration can be hazardous to the environment. Others blame crime, poverty, and overpopulation on immigration. About sixty-eight million immigrants have been added to the United States since 1970, and it is estimated that 130 million people will be added over the next fifty years. The government has tried somewhat to restrict immigration but the laws are still too lenient. Nearly every other advanced country in the world is moving quickly towards stabilized population or has already achieved it. The United States is moving towards it very slowly. This country would have to reduce immigration down to 255,000 a year to do this (Beck 1). If nothing is done to stabilize the immigration to this country, what will become of population in the next decade? The population will continue to grow even faster - not due to births, but to massive immigration to this country. Immigration can become a serious problem to this country if the government does not produce stricter laws.
We had to increase the amount of Border Patrol agents because immigrants were coming in illegally without United States citizenship.
Baby Jessica is just one of the many victims of child custody battles in America.
This child has no name and no face in the capitalist system. "It" is treated as an asset to be bought and exploited by the bourgeoisie.
According to the article “5 facts about immigration in the U.S” at least one in every five student have one unauthorized immigrant as a parent. If immigrants cross to have anchor baby. An anchor baby is used to refer to a child born to a noncitizen mother in a country which has birthright citizenship. Imgrants are giving an advantage to america's future. Immigrants should able to stay in this country to stay with their children. 2016 presidential candidate has disagreed with anchor babies and wants to take away the citizenship away from children. According to Mr. Donald Trump about anchor babies he says"I don't think they have American citizenship and if you speak to some very, very good lawyers -- and I know some will disagree, but many of them agree with me -- and you're going to find they do not have American citizenship," (Donald Trump: “Anchor babies” aren't real american citizens). This has caused a very controversial debate because in the 14th amendment is states “all persons born or naturalized in the United States,” which included former slaves recently freed” which mean that they are citizens. Those children have been born in this country and should have the right to be called American
