“America’s Gift to My Generation”

America remains the place many people want to call home. America gives to each generation is unique because we are experiencing an America that gives the gift or personal freedom and safety to make any dream possible. In my generation we saw Martin Luther King’s dream became a reality when Barack Obama became president.
My generation is pushed to think big, achieve the unthinkable, break cultural barriers and speak up. America’s valuable gift of freedom allows my generation to never settle for average but to strive for excellence. Being an American gave me the right to receive a free education in great public schools.Without an education, our intelligence level wouldn’t be as it is as of right now. So my

America has given me the opportunity to sit in a class with people from many backgrounds and different ethnicities and learn and share in a safe environment.
When our red, white, and blue flag waves in the air, I am reminded that I am blessed to be an American who enjoys the safety and freedom in school, at home, and the streets of America. This is a powerful gift because all over the world we see class and religion wars. Women are killed or kidnapped if they go to school or read a bible. I see on the news where children my age are dying and are not safe to walk in the streets because bombs are going off. I am also grateful to get to live a life I choose to have. We can choose a job that fits our standards and make money on our own. We can also get married and raise children on our terms. I am grateful that America has blessed my generation with safety, the ability to dream and live in harmony with many different people.
