Amelia was born in her grandparents house on July 24,1897. Her Father Edwin Earhart was working for a law practice in Kansas city during this time. Amelia didn't know that 2 1/2 years later she would have a sister named Muriel with the nickname Pidge.
Amelia and Pidge were born into a life of privilege through their grandparents. They both attended a private school and took pleasure in their life of leisure. There grandfather was not impressed, though, with his son in law Edwin, the girls father. He apparently failed to live up to his father in laws social and financial expectations.

Amelia saw her first airplane when she was ten years old at the Iowa State fair. In her words she said "It was a thing made of wire and not all that interesting..."She took more interest in the Hat that she purchased at the fair. It would be almost ten years until Amelia's interest in aviation would unfold.
Amelia father was promoted in 1909 and their conditions of living improved greatly. But Edwin had begun to drink and soon it became apparent to Amelia that her father was a drunkard. It also became apparent to family and friends.
Finally in 1914 Amelia, Pidge and her mother left her father and he was fired and went to live with some friends in Chicago. There social life dropped and they became a subject of pity. Amy took money out of a trust fund to support Amelia and her sister through a prepatory school for collage.
Amelia decided to train to become a nurse and served as a Voluntary Aid Detachment until the Armistices in November 1918.In her words she said: "There for the first time I realized what the World War meant."She also told about the horrible things that she saw like men without arms or legs, blind men, and even Paralyzed men.

Lindbergh’s passion for mechanics didn’t come as a surprise to many. As a young boy, Charles seemed to be very interested in the family’s motorized vehicles, such as the Saxon Six automobile and Excelsior motorbike. But after starting college in the fall of 1920 as a mechanical engineer, his love for aviation started to bloom. Deciding that the field of aviation was more exciting, he dropped out within 2 years. He then decided to take lessons at the Nebraska Aircraft Corporation’s flying school and was up in the air for the first time on April 9, 1922 when he was in a two seat biplane as a passenger. But his solo flight would not be until May 1923 at the Souther Field in Americus, Georgia, an old flight training field where Lindbergh came to buy a World War I Curtiss JN-4 “Jenny” biplane. It only took half an hour to practice with another pilot at the field to decide that Lindbergh was ready to fly the plane himself. After a week of practicing, Lindbergh took off on his biplane on his first solo cross country flight and few weeks after that, achieving his first nighttime flight near Arkansas, both marking huge milestones for the young pilot.
In the book Reconstructing Amelia, Amelia shows many personality traits such as being intelligent and willing. She shows being willing in the fact that she was willing to stay in the Magpies even when Zadie regularly yelled at her and pushing her to horrible things. The only reason Amelia did this is so she would be with Dylan. Amelia would participate in things like taking horrible photos of herself and posting them to a blog or lie about what was doing and what she had to do. She would not telling her mom or her best friend Sylvia what was happening to her. Amelia carried out a lot of things that she would have not done if she were not in the Magpies. Another trait shown in the book is her being smart. Amelia also loves to read and she
...rhart’s life was never answered. It satisfies some, to convince themselves a certain story or theory is true. Clues have been found, but many pieces of the puzzle are still lost. The death of Amelia Earhart, has continued to bring up women’s accomplishments, which is why many decide to abandon the questions, and leave Amelia wherever she is. Instead of focusing on the one event that brought her life down, people can remember her for all the records she set, the people she helped, and the events that made her life so distinct in the eyes of Americans. Walter J. Boyne, a retired United States Air Force officer, once said, “Amelia Earhart came perhaps before her time,…the smiling, confident, capable, yet compassionate human being, is one of which we can all be proud.” Earhart and her adventurous life will never be forgotten, and instead will be honored and remembered.

After Amelia’s parents separated, she had a decision to make, would she let this situation stop her in what she wanted to fulfill, or would she use this to her advantage. At such a young age, Amelia was faced with many, many decisions to make and if she had let the separation of her parents defeat her, her future might have turned out differently.

The perspectives of men and women in Earhart’s generation differ by manifold opinions. Her actions would later impact the prospect of Women’s rights. Flying is a big part of life. We use it for the injured to get them to hospitals, protecting people from criminals, tourists, we also use flying for the army and entertainment on holidays, and more. Amelia Bloomer:Amelia Bloomer was born in Cortland County, New York, in 1818. She received an education in schools of the State and became a teacher in public schools, then as a private tutor. She married in 1840 to Dexter C. Bloomer, of Seneca Falls, New York. Dexter C. Bloomer was editor of a county newspaper, and Mrs. Bloomer began to write for the paper. Bloomer’s name soon became associated with to this new dress, and the trousers became known as Bloomers. She continued to new dress and continued advocating for women’s rights in her paper. In 1854, Mrs. Bloomer began giving numerous speeches and continued to fight for equal justice for women.
She also treats the townspeople when they’re sick and works to create her own medicine that she tests on herself to make sure it will work. She is unmarried, and her previous marriage lasted a mere ten days before she drove her husband to file for divorce. Because she and her ex-husband, Marvin Macy, were both extremely masculine characters, neither was willing to be seen as anything less than the dominant figure in the relationship. This coupled with the fact that Miss Amelia had no attraction to Macy to begin with drove their marriage to its end. Conversely, because Cousin Lymon had a more feminine personality and was smaller and more submissive than Miss Amelia, the two immediately had some sort of connection and were able to stay together for years, though they were never married.
