We come across the plenty of advertisement types in our everyday life. The world has suddenly become influenced by advertisement. When night falls, the cities around the world light up with hundreds of neon glow signs capturing our attention. Advertising plays an important and essential role in any business. I even can't imagine our life without advertisements. Print advertising is already not so popular as other types of advertising in our modern digital age, but there is still a need for it. The reason for this is that printed advertisement can interact with the reader. Print ad gives opportunity to enhance an idea and also print can become a work of art. Print has been around for hundreds of years and print will continue to be an important part of our world for years to come. Whether print ad will be effective is largely depends on the audience. Advertising in magazines makes it easier to reach targeted audience. Any printed advertisement has to attract attention of the reader in a flash. Two contemporary ads, one for Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase Manufacture watches and another one for Longines Conquest Classic watches, attempt to attract attention. Both of ads are strong, but one of them is most effective than another one. Analysis of advertisements will help to decide which ad is better.
Both ads were taken from April 2014 issue of GQ Magazine (Russia). GQ is a monthly men's magazine. This magazine focuses on men's style, fashion and culture for men; it includes articles about sport, cars, travel, food, movies, music, fitness, sex, technology, books; in general, about everything what could be interesting for men. Target audience of GQ: male adults, generally businessmen, aged 25-45. GQ Russia readers average age is ...

...is less effective for me. “Live your Passion" slogan says follow your dream. So, if man will buy a Frederique Constant watch, he will follow his dreams and passions? I don't think so. The suggestions here are not so realistic. It creates unrealistic expectations for readers. Thus, the Longines ad is better than the Frederique Constant ad.
We are all the time surrounded by advertisements. It's obviously that the main purpose of advertisements is to get the consumer to purchase a product. The message within the advertisement has to be persuasive and has to awake certain emotions and feelings in the consumer. Print advertisements are extremely effective in reaching targeted audience. Print advertisements draw our attention through technical and psychological effects. And analysis of advertising is important to understand its real meaning and intended impact on readers.
For most companies, advertising can be a costly affair. On the one hand, customers are getting more information about new products, goods and services. While, on the other hand, it has to be effective, noticeable and remembered long enough to make potential customers into actual ones.
This essay is an analysis of two advertising posters, one of being a modern piece of media, the other being aimed at the previous generation. I will be reviewing posters from Coca Cola and Benetton, the latter being the modern piece of media in this comparison.
Advertisements are one of many things that Americans cannot get away from. Every American sees an average of 3,000 advertisements a day; whether it’s on the television, radio, while surfing the internet, or while driving around town. Advertisements try to get consumers to buy their products by getting their attention. Most advertisements don’t have anything to do with the product itself. Every company has a different way of getting the public’s attention, but every advertisement has the same goal - to sell the product. Every advertisement tries to appeal to the audience by using ethos, pathos, and logos, while also focusing on who their audience is and the purpose of the ad. An example of this is a Charmin commercial where there is a bear who gets excited when he gets to use the toilet paper because it is so soft.
In today's world of consumerism, there is great competition among businesses to sell their product. It goes without saying that in this complex society exists modern technology that has lead to the development of various media platforms. In turn, these various platforms are used by corporations to advertise their product. On that topic, there are various tools of advertising that corporations implement with their choice of media platform to sell their product more effectively. This paper will analyze the advertising tactics that are present in two poster advertisements, both of Lexus vehicles.
Are advertising companies out of control now a days? Do they play on the average Americans fears about certain events in life to sell their products? Do they try to attack events that are one and a million to sell us useless things? Advertising companies use all of those tactics to sell things to the average everyday concerned American. This is especially evident in security systems, new cars, and also in equipment. This aspect of advertising is also apparent in commercials trying to stop Americans from buying things such as cigarettes and drugs. These advertising companies have been very successful in using this tactic to sell their goods.
These ads run in magazines such as Blender, Details, Esquire, FHM, Playboy, Razor, Men's Journal, Skiing and Sports Illustrated. These three ads specifically, were taken out of Maxim, which is a magazine for men of almost every age, from their early teenage years when they start to discover their sexual feelings to the day they die. Inside, you can find pictures of beautiful half naked women, their sexual confessions and tips, articles on cars, stupid jokes, sports and money, but mostly Sex. It satisfies every man's need. It's their perfect dream magazine.
Analysis of an Advertising Campaign We are swarmed by advertising. Companies constantly battle to compete for the sale of their product. Adverts appear in every form of media including radio; television; Internet; billboards; newspaper; flyers and magazines. The advertiser wants us to buy their product above their competitors. The basic aim of advertising is to convince the target audience that their product is the best in the field and superior to the other products of similarity.
In addition, I value advertisements that are not geared toward just sales. Personally, when an advertisement is all about making the sale it turns me away from the product. I do like CoverGirl’s ad a little more than I did, however if I had to choose between Maybelline and CoverGirl I would still go with Maybelline. Knowing CoverGirl made an emotional connection with the delicious lipstick and relating it to the delicious ice cream was clever and I appreciate it. Nevertheless, my feeling on the overwhelming effect of being crowded still stands
