Adrian Goldsworthy has written a book titled Augustus First Emperor of Rome. Goldsworthy was a famous and well-respected historian. He was known for writing multiple biographies about the ancient history. His books stand out from among the other author. He makes multiple appearance on educational video. It all started when he attends Oxford and study both ancient and modern history. From this, Goldsworthy use his specialists as a historian to begin writing biographies.
To begin with, Octavian was born on September 23, 63rd BC in terrible time in Italy. At age four, his biological father Gaius passed away. Around 44th BC Octavian changed his surname to Augustus, which is one of a titled. He was born as a plebeian but transitions into a patrician’s when his Uncle Caesar adopted him. Then, when Augustus was 19 years old, he lost his second father “Caesar” in tragic way. By then, Augustus entered political systems and created rules. He has multiple spouses but married to Levia. Under Augustus’s throne, he brought Rome back together. He was a very cagey ruler by transferring government to senate. Also, he expanded the Egypt through Germany and Balkan. The Roman economy were flourished along with its expansion. Some of his achievement was Augustus created first responders such as fire fighters and polices. One way he brought Rome back together is by doing a tax reform. The tax reform creates funds for the city and increase it treasury department. He also passed multiple law by reestablishing social rules. He constructed buildings like Bath of Agrippa, Forum of Augustus, and Temple of Caesar. From these, he repaired 82 structural temples of gods and ignored the other that needs repair.
