“Part super-hero. Part fortune-teller. Part trusted advisor (“Be an Actuary.”).” An actuary is all this, they are crucial apart of the world of business. Actuaries work in both the public and private sectors of business. They are manly in the administrative part of the work place. They are in every large corporation and in even some of the smaller companies. Actuaries are most often in insurance companies and large corporations; though they are even in so financial planning businesses (“Be an Actuary.”). They are also the people that run financial calculations for both individuals and businesses (Hezzelwood). With being such an important part of business actuarial science is a very good field to go into. Forbes has ranked actuarial science as the best job in 2013 (Smith). Actuarial science is constantly ranked one of the top jobs to have in America (“Be an Actuary.”). There are many things that factor into making actuarial science the best job in America.
Actuaries are the fortune-tellers of the business world (“Be an Actuary.”). Their main duty is to analyze the risk and uncertainty of a situation (“Summary”). They then look at the long term effects of possible solutions to see which one has the least amount of loss (“Be an Actuary.”). With the information that they gather about a certain situation they then advise the business how to act in order to get the best outcome and allow it to grow (“Summary”). Actuaries will also do this for individuals for investments, retirement, or financial planning. They use many different types of theorems to get their information; such as the game theory and other theories form statistics or calculus (Ravi). During part three of the CRP, it was required of us to create a MyPlan account and to take several assessments to get an idea of our personality, skills and interests. As a result, MyPlan would provide suggested career paths to choose from starting with the most relevant. When I looked at my career paths that MyPlan suggested, it was no surprise to me to find that accounting was at the top of the list with the second option being an actuary. Some of the personality traits required to be an effective accountant include having a logical and analytical mind, being attentive to detail, and high moral and work ethics. These are traits that I possess and have been able to strengthen over time.

My God there are so many careers out there, who in the world can pick just one. That’s what’s been weighing on my mind heavily is what career is right for me. I’ve thought of a couple that interest me but I want to find out everything there is to know about a financial advisor. The reason that I’m interested in this field is how everything is the same when it comes to the actually math behind the career. Also I like to deal with people and money so a job as a financial advisor just seems right for me but I intend to find out as much as I can to make sure there’s nothing surprising or any kinks in what sounds like the perfect job for me.

Accountants are becoming a needed job in the business industry and play a very important role in the success of many businesses. This job usually requires at least a bachelor’s degree in accounting and sometimes even a CPA (Certified Public Accountant). There are many other things that are needed to be considered before choosing this career. The job environment, education, skills, and benefits are just some of the many things that need to be thought through before considering this career.
Accounting is a very important term to our modern society. It is the career for men and women who at the start have their eyes set on top positions in industry, management, government, and general business. Accounting is a basic need of every businessman, from the operator of a filling station to the government of the United States. It's so important to our society. None of the business organization can operate without is. They are there-somewhere-in every business. In small business, people use pen, ink and skill keep the records. In large business, modern accounting machines are used to operate. Men and women are directing these machines in the accounting process. Wise businessmen enter business must have some accounting knowledge.
