As i don't have a big interest in politics and wasn't really sure what i was getting myself into i felt as though i was bothersome to my host whenever i would reach out just taking into account her busy schedule and that she is a teacher part time and a councillor the other half of the time and that set me back in regards to planning to meet up with her which resulted in me putting pressure on myself to do behind the scenes type of work rather than taking initiative and being active or shadowing her throughout the day. experience. Any challenges I faced throughout my work experience were completely my fault. One challenge I faced was finding the time to meet up with Marie as she had a busy schedule and I wasn't able to plan ahead and fit my schedule around hers. I also had a tendency to choose to do behind the scenes work for her as i felt like i was timid doing active political work which i think stemmed from a lack of self confidence, i found doing social media work and posters for her was more in my element which held me back when trying to be more active in my work experience. I did at the end of my time with her break out of this cycle and put myself out there more with Marie and realised being active and going out to Grange and Streedagh and seeing all the developmental work she's done out there and the people shes helped gave me a positive
