The American Dream is where people go to the United States to be able to pursue their goal of getting a better life through education and hard work. A better life where they can do things with more freedom, like start a family, get better education and have more opportunities. Opportunities people often don't get around the world. It's a reality for the people who work hard and have dedication to pursue their dreams and its a fantasy for people who often don't work hard and don't try to achieve it. To be happy, it isn't always about getting rich and having all of the expensive materials. It is often about the experiences and connections with other people that make people have a happy life. A commonlit article called “You Can Buy Happiness If It’s an Experience” by Maanvi Singh states that “Plus when it comes to experiences, money isn’t as much of an issue, the researchers hypothesize. People may be competitive when it comes to keeping up with the Joneses, but tend to be less competitive about spending on experiences.“. The journey of hard work to get to the American Dream gives you amazing and beautiful experiences that are worth more than money and expensive materials. The experience of having a family and working to have a better life in a place where there is freedom is worth more than money, and those experiences are possible to achieve if you work hard.
