For each person, an "American Dream" has a different meaning. since not all of us go through the same life situations. Each person has a purpose in their life, or what many of us also know as an American dream. Most people have the idea that an "American dream" is based on migrants or immigrants, even though many of us may think it is synonymous with becoming rich. However, it is not like that, it is something more than that. It is all about your goals, your dreams, your desire to improve yourself and get ahead. It is your effort to get everything you want, thanks to your own effort. After reading “Of Mice And Men”. A clear example is Curley's wife. What she wanted and what her dream was was to be a Hollywood actress. When she was telling her dream to Lennie she said “He says he was gonna put me in the movies”. Says I was a natural. Soon as he got back to Hollywood he was gonna write to me about it". But she never received that letter. She lived in the illusion of being able to fulfill her dream. He had it so close and at the same time, so far. Reading stories like these makes you see and know more about new worlds, different life situations. They help you feel the feeling that comes after failure. Seeing that you didn't finish what you've been dreaming of for so long. Seeing that all your effort and work was not enough to get there. But at the end of the day, it is a process of life that teaches us that an "American Dream" does not only mean being successful. It also means failing on the path to success and continuing to fight for it until you achieve it and not giving up easily on your
