Broke, alone, and afraid on his own for the first time and doesn’t have a plan, but he wants everything he could imagine. A long journey of pain and fear, till he found a woman and a job. He was able to get money, start a stable family and be the man he always wanted to be. This is the struggle and gain of achieving “the American Dream”. It may be different to everybody, but it is valued and hoped for the same. The American Dream is known from author James Truslow Adams who stated it as, “that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone”. The American Dream may be viewed as becoming rich or bettering yourself, it is different for everyone, the dream is always possible if one sets their mind to it, someone may achieve their dream by never giving up, I will achieve my American Dream by always looking forward and never back. …show more content…

Some part of the American Dream can be reached, it can simply be to be happier and more joyous in life. This is something everyone can do and set their minds to. If ones American Dream is more complicated like moving and restarting, it can still be reached one just might have to work harder. No matter what someone can always work and achieve their personal and most wanted American Dream. Overcoming challenges in the way of this dream shows persistence which is needed to achieve any dream. Michael Scott once said, “The good thing about the American Dream is that you can just go to sleep and try it all again the next night” this shows that no matter what happens one can continuing trying and should never give
