Tom hanks, an American actor, once said, “A hero is somebody who voluntarily walks into the unknown.” A hero is someone who risks their lives, for the benefits of the world. They don’t give up easily and always puts others benefits before themselves. The literal meaning of a hero is, “a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.” Heroism can be defined as brave, strong, and courageous.
Heroes come in many shapes and forms, but a hero should always be described as a good person. Heroes are respected, good people, with strong beliefs, they stand up for what they believe in, and inspires others. They are not looked down upon by others, or cowards who back down when challenges face them. They are also not selfish or fake, would …show more content…

For an example a hero could be someone who simply volunteers themselves at homeless shelters, or steps out of their comfort zone and speak out for many people. Overall heroes can be defined in many good ways.
One person who could be defined as a hero is a girl named Malala who spoke out to the world about the problems happening in her country. Malala was a young teenage girl who lived in Swat, when she spoke out to the media about female's education rights. Once Malala had spoken out to the media, she began to get death threats from the taliban. On October 9, 2012 Malala was shot on the school bus, on her way back from school, luckily Malala survived the shot and recovered well. After her recovery Malala attended an interview with Jon Stewart, where she said many things that shows what a true hero is. One piece of evidence that shows how Malala was being heroic was when Malala said, “Malala just take a shoe and hit him, but then I said, if you hit a Talib with your shoe, then there would be no difference between you and the Talib. You must not treat others that much with cruelty and that much harshly, you must fight others, but through peace and through
