What makes the acts of heroism different from the daily life of others? To people the act of heroism can be from their favorite sports player or an actor. But, to some they could be there family member. Each heroic act in the society is faced with great challenges but the hero never backs down. In addition, heroic acts have many different purposes in our society. The acts of heroism are considered as an inspiration to others and a reference but, it takes certain attribute such as courage and selflessness.

Acts of heroism done by heroes demonstrates leadership and to make our society a better place. For instance, Mohandas K. Gandhi helped gain freedom for the colored without violence but giving speeches. This demonstrates that Gandhi showed heroism because he inspired many of his people to not use violence to solve a conflict and that takes courage. Mohandas Gandhi was the leader of the protest and he sacrificed many things just to get freedom. For this reason Gandhi’s act was heroic because of his selflessness. Another example to illustrate the function of heroism is MLK Jr. He was inspired by the method of non violence from Gandhi. Martin Luther King’s heroic act was similar to Gandhi because he stood up for his people in order to get what was right for all colored in U.S. Furthermore, one of his quote, “ I submit that an individual who breaks that a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice is in reality expressing the highest respect for law” (The Quotations Page). ...ry similar since it helps to enhance the society and the heroes that were involved in the act always put themselves in danger. Many of the heroic acts done by heroes end up either dying or wound from the hazard event that the hero took place in. Every act of heroism plays a significant part to the society because it adds to the quality of each person in humanity and as a whole. Also, the acts of heroism are always inspiring and remembered due to their courageous actions and selflessness.
