A Global Perspective on Schooling
Universities and colleges across the country, as well as the world, have one goal. This goal is to educate citizens to the best of their ability. Although they all have the same objective, each of these schools has a different approach from all the others. One aspect of education that is constantly changing is technology. These changes can occur from school to school, or within a specific school. I have chosen to research and compare the different approaches of several universities from both the United States and throughout the world. This paper discusses the schools I have chosen to research, the variety of majors available at these schools, and how technology is presented in the schools.
The United States is a very diverse country regarding both its people and its education styles. The State University of New York College at Fredonia, University of South Carolina, Utah State University and the University of California Davis are four very different schools within our country. The College of the Bahamas, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Qatar, and Kazan State University are also very diverse schools located throughout the world. Although these schools were chosen to sample techniques used with technology, this is an extremely small sampling of what is available to students all over the world.
SUNY Fredonia, located in Fredonia, NY is a college that offers many degree options and is very culturally diverse. The website itself is somewhat plain, but as we all know from the Penn State website, many things lie hidden within. I believe that I would not have know about many of these things if I hadn’t been a student at Fredonia State at one point. This site has a search engine that allows the user to search for educators, students, degree programs, and student life to name a few.
The University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC has an interesting website that draws the user in. This site, once again, has a search engine and allows the user to choose from several areas of interest. There is also a specific link to Technology Resources that leads to several other technology related issues.
The University of California Davis, in Davis, CA, has a businesslike appearance to its website. Their main objective is to get across the importance of academics. On a secondary page I found a link to Information and Educational Technology. On this page the user will find information on computer rooms, computing accounts, security, technical support and training.
It is safe to say that the current education system in the United States does not help create a good workforce, it does not help students meet their goals and it does not do a good job in creating good citizens. The current education system is not able to do this because not everyone is about to get a higher education, it is not practical, and a college education and grades are not good factors/indicators in determining a person’s success. Yes, the education system is better here than in other areas, but there are a few things that need to be worked on.
One of most famous artist is Andy Warhol was the king of Pop Art, formerly known as Andrew Warhola. Born on August 6, 1928 in the city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania ,in United States. Graduated from the Carnegie Institute of Technology (now Carnegie Mellon University) major is Commercial Art and In the final year of university studies he served as editor of Journal of University name "Caro" This is working properly for the first time his own. Andy Warhol died at the age of only 58 years on 22 February 1987. In essay, I will explain about my favorite picture of Andy Warhol.
Throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, the American educational system has undergone much transition in response to our changing society. Though there have been many problems raised throughout the years in regard to what our school systems should be teaching our children, there have also been many developments.
Although Freud had many theories, as they were brought up, they were disproven. Some noted facts against his theories is that they were based almost completely on a males development then assumed to be equal for females. There is also difficulty in testing. Concepts like libido cannot be measure and vary from person to person which made testing impossible. His predictions of the future were wrong as well as vague. The time gap between a childhood cause was too far away from the adulthood effect. Most importantly all his information was from case studies NOT empirical research and adults NOT children meaning all his research was faulty. What do you believe?
The College’s Study Away program will provide a rigorous learning experiences outside of the classroom in addition to what I will experience inside. The Ecology of Innovation: Silicon Valley program, led by Dr. Adam Watkins, has specifically caught my attention, as it explores how innovation is leveraging social, technical, and environmental factors in order to maximize innovative potential and therefore change the world. This is the ultimate goal of computer scientists, and being exposed to how to accomplished that goal
Almost every man woman, and child recognize the black and white markings of the panda bear. The panda, symbol of The World Wildlife Federation, is one of the species of animals that is most endangered from extinction. Panda Bear population has been dropping dramatically since 1961. Throughout china and other countries in south east asia panda’s are losing large areas of their habitat and food source.People are hurting the panda population by destroying their habitat for their own needs;.
Also, the Red Panda lives in colder climates and forest type biomes with bamboo. They live in temperate type biomes. They can be found is the delicious forests. Red Pandas love bamboo as their habitat/sh...
While bamboo stalks and roots make up about 95 percent of its diet, the giant panda also feeds on fish and occasionally small rodents. It must eat 20 to 40 pounds of food each day to survive, and spends 10 to 16 hours a day feeding. Until recently, Washington DC's National Zoo housed Ling-Ling and Hsing-Hsing, perhaps the most well ...
The Red Panda was previously known to be a part of the Procyonidae family. The Procyonidae family consists of animals like the raccoon, skunk, and weasel. It was then moved to the family with bears, Ursidae, but scientists found that the Red Panda was unique. The Red Panda has its own family, Ailurus. Though the Red Panda has a diet like the Giant Panda, it is very distantly related to it, despite the name. Their diets mainly consist of bamboo, but the Red Panda will occasionally eat fruit, acorns, roots, and eggs. Red Pandas are picky when it comes to eating bamboo, and they only eat the most tender shoots and leaves. Their hands are unique because of the extended wrist bone that they have. With the extended wrist bone, it helps it grab bamboo, and even climb down trees with their face towards the
The living organism I will be researching on is the Ailuropoda melanoleuca, the Giant panda. The giant panda, a black-and-white bear, has a body typical of bears. It has black fur on ears, eye patches, muzzle, legs, and shoulders. The rest of the animal's coat is white. Their thick, wooly coat helps to keep them warm in their cool mountain homes or forests of its habitat. What do pandas eat? A wild giant panda’s diet consists of other grasses and occasional small rodents or musk deer fawns. Its diet consists almost entirely of the leaves, stems and shoots of various bamboo species. In zoos, giant pandas eat bamboo, sugar cane, rice gruel, a special high-fiber biscuit, carrots, apples, and sweet potatoes (Smithsonian 2004). According to the
Technology affects every aspect of our lives. From romance to business, it has shown its presence everywhere. But technology has had a huge impact on education that cannot be denied, and has done nothing but improve the quality and quantity of education.

Technology has rapidly changed over the years and has expanded our infrastructure greatly. In particular, as technology advances the education system adapts to the many changes. The world of technology brings about many new improvements and shows no sign of slowing down. Many people spend their day to day lives utilizing the great aspects of technology doing almost anything imaginable. Through technology teachers and students can connect and expound upon the many fields of education. Technology is an ever growing aid in education that has increased awareness, communication, and accessibility. How is technology shaping education? The uses of mobile devices and applications have shown a great influence in the education system.
Currently, Giant Pandas are highly endangered with only 1,600 living freely in the wild and roughly 300 living in zoos or breeding centers. This low number of existing pandas means the species has a relatively high risk of becoming extinct. The pandas reside mostly in China around the basin area of Yangtze, which poses a major problem, because this area is currently one of China’s most thriving regions with constant destruction and new development. Therefore, the bears are pushed into small areas without the living conditions they are accustomed to. The pandas are continuously fighting for their lives in result of habitat loss, low reproduction rate, food shortage, and poaching.
