I patiently waited in a long line of cars outside of my boys’ camp. The sun beamed through the windshield and decided to attack me with its heat. As I sat there I could fill my sweat glands began to cry out and reveal their nature. I couldn’t have that. I hated sweating. So I knew that it would burn some gas but I would risk that gas burn if it meant me not having to sweat. I rolled the windows up and turned the A/C on. I sat for another two minutes before my car moved up some more. My thoughts went back to the strand of hair that I saw on Paul earlier. I knew that he was lying and I just wished that he would tell me the truth. I was holy and have always been a holy woman but I wasn’t stupid. I never made my thoughts known to him. I just prayed to God that this to would pass. I finally made my …show more content…
Momma sat at one of the stools in the kitchen. “You want some iced tea?” I asked her. “No thank you baby” she said, “I heard about the man on the TV who drank too much of that stuff so right now I’m trying to keep myself at a limit.” “I told you about letting things like that scare you” I told her. “Whatever child. Where’s Paul?” she asked as she looked around as if he was hiding behind some of the furniture. “I guess he still at the church or on his way home. His car wasn’t in the garage when I got here” I told her as I finished cooking dinner. Just as I said that, I heard the garage door entrance into the house swing open and the garage door outside being let down. “Speaking of the devil” momma said as she turned around to give Paul a hug when he walked into the kitchen. “What devil?” he said with a laugh, “tell satan if he in my house he better get out before I go get that oil.” They hugged each other and I enjoyed watching it like I did every other time. With Paul’s mother passing last year, it only left my mother who was just like a mother to
It's Nine Eleven, and the sun is just starting to come up. Everyone in town are at the Twin Towers. The planes just crashed into the buildings, and now the Twin Towers are on fire. The people from the fire station aren't for sure if they can put it out. The fire was pretty big. There were pieces of the building flying everywhere, and it was on fire!
“GET AWAY!”, Eleven screamed as the scientists were getting closer and closer to her. Ever since Eleven was a kid, she knew she wasn’t normal, but she didn’t realize she was this abnormal. She didn’t know what was so special about her that scientist would want to keep her in a cell. After several days, she was furious at the scientists so she screeched so loud that the lights flickered, the windows shattered, and the guards dropped dead. Before the police were contacted she fled. Without hesitation, she ran until she found Mike, a boy that looked about the same age as her.
SQUEEEKK! The police car skidded across the side of the road, leaving a swiveling trail of black marks in its tracks. “Stop right where you are!” A deep officer’s voice shouted out the car window. Melanie and Henry’s faces turned red as a tomato.
The first thing that was displayed on the screen that read Bryan's thoughts was a strange place. It seemed blurry at first, but the image cleared up as he thought more profoundly of the memory. It showed a strange place that seemed a bit too violent for humans to inhabit it, which meant it had to be an abstract memory or a different dimension. Wendy knew about alternate dimensions because she had studied about them in college. She knew right away that it looked a bit too... fiery for human life to flourish on here.
At last I arrived, unmolested except for the rain, at the hefty decaying doors of the church. I pushed the door and it obediently opened, then I slid inside closing it surreptitiously behind me. No point in alerting others to my presence. As I turned my shoulder, my gaze was held by the magnificence of the architecture. It never fails to move me. My eyes begin by looking at the ceiling, and then they roam from side to side and finally along the walls drinking in the beauty of the stained glass windows which glowed in the candle light, finally coming to rest on the altar. I slipped into the nearest pew with the intention of saying a few prayers when I noticed him. His eyes were fixated upon me. I stared at the floor, but it was too late, because I was already aware that he wasn’t one of the priests, his clothes were all wrong and his face! It seemed lifeless. I felt so heavy. My eyes didn’t want to obey me. Neither did my legs. Too late I realised the danger! Mesmerised, I fell asleep.
Out of nowhere, I hear the sound of knocking coming from the
A long time ago in a jungle Houston, Jake, Harrison , and Little Red Riding Hood were walking to go see their friend. They were traveling for a while before they saw anything living. Harrison started to get creeped out he thought to himself as he shivered in fear, “ man why are we out here?” Houston then yelled at him to speed up and Harrison said softly
The night was tempestuous and my emotions were subtle, like the flame upon a torch. They blew out at the same time that my sense of tranquility dispersed, as if the winds had simply come and gone. The shrill scream of a young girl ricocheted off the walls and for a few brief seconds, it was the only sound that I could hear. It was then that the waves of turmoil commenced to crash upon me. It seemed as though every last one of my senses were succumbed to disperse from my reach completely. As everything blurred, I could just barely make out the slam of a door from somewhere alongside me and soon, the only thing that was left in its place was an ominous silence.
Course work 2: 9/11 It was a typically beautiful September morning. The sky was a peaceful baby blue, there wasn't a cloud in sight, the smell of coffee was wafting through the flat as we opened our sleepy eyes. I looked over at her and thought again just how lucky I was to be with this beautiful creature. We had our breakfast together and got ready for work just like we always do, she left her makeup everywhere as usual; I nearly broke my ankle on a rogue lip gloss. After discussing our plans for the day, we headed to get a taxi to the towering buildings that cut the skyline in two like a pair of scissors, The World Trade Centre which was home to our respective offices.
"Where's the cigarettes?" she asked. We all sat there, looking dumbfounded, and wishing it were only cigarettes because the consequences for that were less severe. She stood at the door for a few minutes, staring at us with a look of complete disappointment on her face, before walking out the door, shutting it behind her.
I did not hear anything while I was here. Someone did open the bathroom windows and it was cold so I shut it. I had to pick up Lauren's CCE door dec and I put it back on her door.
It was a great time and if you watched the two on the red carpet, then you would never know that they got into a huge fight before the event. They were side by side on the red carpet and then all sat with their sisters during the
I must have rehearsed a thousand times what I was going to say and how I was going to say it. I rehearsed so much, I began to visualize the meeting. Monday came, I prayed fervently, asking the Lord to remove my thoughts and replace them with His will. Remove the flesh and allow the Spirit to manifest in my life. I walked into the room, greeted by my principal and vice-principal. My words to them were simply; pray form me, because my flesh is week. At times my pride consumes my thoughts and actions. As I walked into the conference room, preparing myself one last time for my rehearsed words, something happened. I began to feel a sense of peace and calm, which was invigorating. I listened to both mother and father and heard their allegations in regards to my treatment of their daughter. But the one thing that resonated in my mind, the one thing that lingered, was when I heard the father say, “My daughter thinks you don’t like her.” Wow, what...
“In the back of the CHURCH van? With everyone watching? Where did he kiss you?”
