The first thing that was displayed on the screen that read Bryan's thoughts was a strange place. It seemed blurry at first, but the image cleared up as he thought more profoundly of the memory. It showed a strange place that seemed a bit too violent for humans to inhabit it, which meant it had to be an abstract memory or a different dimension.
