(115 Granada Court) Orlando attorneys from the firm of Moses & Rooth Attorneys at Law partnered with Mike Blumenthal, an Internet marketing expert, to determine how individuals in the United States find a lawyer in 2015. More than 20,000 people received a survey, with a range of demographics included in this survey. This includes gender, location, income, parental status, age and urban density. Once this information was obtained, Moses and Rooth worked with NiftyLaw to create an infographic which represents this data.

"Most individuals turn to their friends when they need to hire an attorney. The survey found only two exceptions to this. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 24 typically turned to the Internet in their search for a legal professional. Of the survey participants in this age group, almost 18 percent retained a lawyer using this method, with only 12 percent turning to a friend for a recommendation. Furthermore, individuals who made more than $150,000 a year turned to the Internet rather than a friend when searching for a lawyer," Andrew Moses, attorney and spokesperson for the firm, reports. …show more content…

Only 1.5 percent of individuals make use of the phone book to find a lawyer, and one percent rely on advertisements on the television. Other methods used include Google, the newspaper and family members. Males and females differ in terms of how they find an attorney also. Although both first rely on friends when they wish to find a lawyer, men will obtain referrals if they don't find an attorney through a friend, while women make use of an Internet
