I have never traveled outside the confines of my country. It is constantly been my dream to travel to the United States and see for myself what it truly feels like to be outside your own country. The complexity and the allurement of the Stanford University is breath-taking. I have witnessed this artistry from reading and watching videos (YouTube) but to be able to see it right before my eyes would haul me in a state of euphoria. The Stanford summer experience is an opportunity for me to not only work alongside world-renowned teachers and researchers, but also gain insights into pursuing a career in my aforementioned passions. The fiercely competitive world of university applications, when you're competing with numerous other candidates who all have the same exam grades as you. Attending Summer School would not only give me an edge, but additionally, would set me apart from a lot of other applicants. The extra tuition will help cement what I have learned at school and build on it, giving me deeper knowledge to draw upon in an exam context. In Pakistan, not all schools offer every course one might have an interest in studying. By atending a Summer School, I will be able to pursue my interests and gain some experience in subjects I would not normally have access to. It goes without saying that the academic value of a summer school is significant and so will aid me propel to new heights. The value of attendance at a summer school goes beyond the obvious academic benefits, helping students develop valuable life skills. Interacting with students all over the world, results in a cosmopolitan environment and friendships formed with people all kinds of nationalities. Mixing with peers from all walks of life and multiple nationalities, develops the students poise and inspires them. The value of a summer school does not end with its benefits to your school work, university applications and social life. It also has positive repercussions on your career. Summer schools help develop transferable skills which is vital life skill and particularly important in a job setting. There can be little doubt that Summer schools bring the students who attend them a whole host of benefits, far beyond the academic knowledge they ostensibly offer.
