A lot of women love to look good on a day to day basis, so a cosmetologist is what they need. A cosmetologist is a beauty specialist who is educated in doing hair, makeup, and nails. It’s very interesting because you get to be creative, have fun, have people looking gorgeous, and get paid for doing something you love. In the section of a hairdresser, they shampoo, cut, color, style, and relax hair on a daily basis depending on what the customer want. The makeup cosmetologist duties are to match up makeup with skin tones, add eye shadow, foundation, and whatever else the customer may like. The person who does nails has to polish, file, cut, and design the nails. By it being three different positions in cosmetology that women love, all of them fit into the big picture. Most cosmetologist work 5 days a week, 12 hours a day. Professional, licensed, experienced, cosmetologist work in shops with the equipment needed to perform and treat their customers. There are hair salons, nail shops, and makeup stores. Cosmetologist who pursue the career in all three sections of cosmetology have a shop that do hair in one part, nails in the other, and another section for makeup. The annual salary for a cosmetologist is $27,070. This translates to a monthly income of $2,256 and an hourly pay rate of $13.02. Some benefits of a licensed cosmetologist are freedom of an entrepreneur, making your own schedule, and earning commissions.
