My passion to become a pharmacist began after I have started working as a pharmacy technician in a hospital since 2012. Before I join the pharmacy team at the Prince George hospital, I had less experience and knowledge about pharmacy and the people who work there. Thus, working as a pharmacy technician has ignited my inner desire to be a pharmacist. To add more, the pharmacology course I took while I was in medical school in Ethiopia has laid the foundation for me to understand the different variety of drugs, and their use and side effects. Also, it helped me to enhance my knowledge of the mechanism of action of various drugs available in the market. Furthermore, my experience as a pharmacy technician and my prior experience as a general medical practitioner in Ethiopia have taught me how to deal with patients and their family members. Thus, blending my medical knowledge with the experience I got while working as pharmacy technician has prepared me for my future endeavor of becoming a pharmacist. …show more content…

Also, I will be taking additional courses in the coming winter, spring, and summer semester. The plan is to complete all the required courses before fall 2017. My academic achievement until now is excellent, I have a 4.0 over all GPA. During all the time at Montgomery College, I have been a Dean's list student. In addition, my professor described me as very hard working student who is eager to know more and share his knowledge to others. Furthermore, I am officially a member of Phi Theta Kappa-kappa Omega chapter honor students'
