Pharmacist Personal Statement

Every morning of mine comes with a glaring hope and a mission to accomplish. I believe in goals and I certainly dreamed to be a pharmacist. I was invariably amazed on how a human being responds to a small capsule intake after a severe pain and suffering, I questioned myself, would it has been a miracle or a magic behind those colored pills? It was a life desire of my early ages to discover about those miraculous drugs saving billions of lives. This inspired my desire to become involved in a field that studies various diseases and attempts to develop cures for them. With an in inherent enthusiasm for both chemistry and life science, the skills I will acquire as a pharmacy student will enhance my clarity and understanding behind the chemistry of medicines and how they work. It was unfortunate dealing with my dreams, I found my name under the listing of Management Science and Economics instead of Pharmacy on a news paper published to disclose students placement by the Ethiopian Ministry of Education. It was a tough time to decide, to pursue the then opportunity of joining university or search for a private Health college teaching pharmacy. Unluckily, there was no accredited college at that time for pharmacy degree program. I decided to major Accounting and Finance and management minor for my under graduate degree. I was able to maintain an excellent GPA, allowing me to graduate with honors. I have faced many challenges, balancing work and school, and I have willingly given my time. My goal is to become a doctor of pharmacy. I know that when I reach my goals, I will be able to provide something meaningful to all of the patients. At this time, I am freshman college student taking Pharm D prerequisite courses at Reynolds Community College and I believe that my chosen profession will enable me to fulfill my desire to help others, to expand my
