I have been wanting to drive because it will be one of the most useful life skills after I graduate from high school. To me, being able to drive means to have a convenient, interesting life, and being a helpful person. My life will be more convenient when I can drive by myself. I am jealous of the day students who can drive off campus to have food when they do not have classes. For those of us who can not drive, the only chance to get out of the school is to up for the school shuttles that can only go certain destinations. Also, when I am home in China, I always wish to drive by myself. This is because that I feel guilty when I have to wake up my brother to drive me to school in the morning. I could take a taxi or wait for the bus, but I can not afford being late to classes if they are not on time. If I drive by myself, I could go to the market and buy necessities whenever I need to instead of waiting for the school shuttle once a week. Also, I will feel a sense of independent and relief when my mother does not have to yell my brother to get out of bed …show more content…
When I can drive a car, I can go to places where I would like to without many restrictions. For instance, I can take a yoga class that is outside of my school; I can drive to a part-time job; I can also go on a road trip with my friends. Especially when I am in college, driving seems to be necessary since the place is ginormous and the public transportation is not as convenient as cities like Boston. Without knowing how to drive, I will reduce my enthusiasm to do many of these activities because they are troublesome to get to. Even though I need to go to different places in one day, I do not feel restrained because I can rely on my personal schedule instead of worrying about to cause trouble for others. Thus, by driving by myself, I could spend more time outside from dorms and classrooms and be more
Having a driver's license means the opportunity to do more. Being in the suburbs, the car is the only timely form of transportation between places. I participate in a few after school activities, and transportation is usually a large issue. I am a part of my school's robotics team, and we work offsite in a larger manufacturing facility. Our larger build site is located in Ashland and is quite a long drive from school and even further from my house. Being able to go there, even when my parents are busy would help the team and give me more things to
Imagine, you are all grown up , and ready to drive. Although you may want to drive like other teens in your position you may not have your mind made up . With driving comes more than just putting your foot on a pedal. There are three essential elements in receiving a drivers license convenience , safety, and practice.
1. When I had first got my license, I, of course as a young immature teenager wanted to drive everywhere. To the grocery store, to my friend's house, to the mall, to the gas station that was five minutes away. One day I was coming home from spending all day with my best friend. I was on the highway, driving at night, it was dark and late.
While having the opportunity to catch up on your homework, some office work, or just relaxing in general is great, we'll also loose the experience gained in driving. Driving any vehicle requires your full attention on the road, car, and surroundings at all times in order to avoid an accident, and instills in the driver the responsibility to ignore any other, less important impulses. No longer needing to practice this discipline when the car drives itself, many people won't even need to care what's right outside their own car window since the autonomous car can deal with it. Passengers will become dependent on such technology leading their lives, and ensuring their own safety when they need to be responsible of it themselves. Google already hopes people will take to this autonomous dependency for their own economic gain, "While Google has never said how it plans to commercialize automated vehicles, it’s clear that keeping people’s eyes on the Web instead of on the road could itself mean a substantial boost to the company’s revenues." In creating an autonomous vehicle, Google expects it to allow people more time for using their search engine and clicking on their ads, which will earn them about an extra $2 billion each year. People need to take responsibility for their own actions when driving rather than entrust an autonomous car to do it
Why I wanted to start trucking? Thats is a very good question for this essay. I wanting to start trucking when I was 12. This all started when i saw this trucker on the interstate and he was from Kentucky (at least that is what his licence plate said) so i asked my dad why he was in Arkansas he told me that he might be making a delivery for a company and that we need trucker for shifting stuff all around the united states or even all around the world.
There are going to be sometimes where you do want too or must walk, bike, or use some other transportation to get somewhere. It’s just easier, more convenient, faster, and gives you more freedom when you do take your own car. Sometimes you must go somewhere at the last moment, where it’s easier to get in your car and drive. You get to your destination faster when you drive, it could be safer if you are the one driving, you don’t have to wait on anyone to pick you up, and you wouldn’t have to worry about where to put your bike. Although; if you choose not to drive; you wouldn’t have to worry about the traffic, you would get to see different views of your city, you would get exercise if you were walking/biking, save on gas, get to be with friends/family if you
Technology continues to advance our country significantly. One such example of this is the technology of self-driving cars. Self-driving cars are the future, offering the potential to save thousands of lives and billions of dollars. Creating social advantages for the blind, children, those with missing limbs and the elderly, these benefits could save so many lives and continue to advance our technology. We should permit self-driving cars in the United States as they will decrease human error, allow mobility for the disabled, and be more efficient for our environment.
When they can’t drive, this inhibits their ability to get home safely and efficiently. More than 7.6 million students played school sports in the 2010-2011 sports seasons, and 1 and 4 students work. Other students participate in musical activities, hobbies, lessons, and more. With all of these activities, it is imperative that students should get home safely and easily. Think about this: if students are forced to wait for a ride after extracurricular activities or jobs, they may not have sufficient time to complete their drivers’ education homework, thus impairing their potential to obtain safe driving
Why You Should Choose Me I believe that you should choose me as a member of the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School chapter of the National Honors Society, because I’m a hard worker who is determined to take charge as well as be a team player. After being rejected at the end of the 2016-2017 school year, I followed up with Ms. Whittle. She gave me great feedback and I have worked hard over the summer to diversify and add to my accomplishments.
Driving helps teens prepare for their future more than you think. Driving helps teens prepare by giving them more responsibilities. Putting a hold on that will give the teens less experience on holding a responsibility. Practicing a responsibility like driving will help them in the long run.
In the first place, a reason vehicle ownership is good is because you have your own access to transportation. Transportation has become a necessity in today’s time. Motorists age 16 and older drive, on average, 29.2 miles per day or 10,658 per year. Anyone who has ownership of a vehicle, has the freedom to go each day as they please.
When I get comfortable driving to a certain place over and over I really don’t have any fear of it. For example driving from my house to EKU Manchester isn’t a problem because I do it multiple times a week and have done it for over a year now. Neither is driving from my house to Clay County High School to watch athletic events because I drove there numerous times throughout my senior year of high school. My education class of this semester required me to drive to Corbin to observe at three different schools.

With my drivers’ license I could pick up my friends without my parents around, making the friend experience a whole lot better. I could go on dates without the embarrassment of my parents driving me. On any given day I could do anything I wanted because I could drive. I could feel the textures of the roads, smell the fresh air when my windows were down, see the beautiful terrain that I drove through and I could hear any type...
