My Writing Experience

I believe a good reader is what makes a good writer, but because I lost my interest in reading, I’ve struggled with writing throughout the years. It wasn’t that I had trouble learning new skills, but because I was pushed away from what I wanted to learn, so I decided to pursue other interests like music. Despite being eager to learn, my writing suffered due to my lack of interest in reading, however, my skills in writing have increased as my drive to read has rekindled. As a child, I was a very eager learner. I always wanted to learn new things to feed my brain. Since reading and writing connect with one another, ever since I stopped reading I’ve had a lot of trouble with my writing. In fact, towards the end of my senior year I encountered with one of the hardest writing assignments, which was a research paper about cloning, a topic I was not related with at all. This research assignment was a big deal since it was worth 3 major grades, so if I did bad on it, it could have kept me from graduating. I was extremely concerned mainly because of my lack of reading and writing skills and to my luck this assignment depended on both. In my opinion, research projects are very difficult because you must obtain all your information from reading articles and you have to decide which information is important enough to use and be able to write it in your own words without losing the meaning. While I searched information about the topic I had a lot of trouble comprehending the information so I had to read it multiple times to be able to understand what was being said and be able to translate it properly into my own words, but with a lot of dedication and time put into it I received a good
