Good Morning. I would like to thank you for taking the time to sit down with me today and for this wonderful opportunity that I am being blessed with. With that being said, I have chosen to answer question three. In March 2015 my mother in law suffered a massive heart attack while home alone. She was not feeling well and called my husband to come take her to the hospital. It was very out of the ordinary for her as she is not the type of person to turn to the medical field. He rushed to get her and took her to Community Hospital located here in Grand Junction. Upon, her admission there it was determined she would need services that they could not provide there and she was transferred to St. Mary's Hospital. This was very stressful as we had little idea of what was going on. My husband called me and alerted me to the situation updating me as much as he could. My husband and father in law were the first ones to go back and see her. The Nursing staff was kind, patient and attentive to the situation at hand explaining everything that had happened to her during the procedure as well as what was currently going on. Once I went back to see her I was immediately recognized from my many time upon that unit performing my duties as a Pharmacy Technician. We had several different nurses in her 4 days on the CVICU unit. My husband is a very curious person so he was always asking questions to get more information and we never once were not given an answer. Of the many nurses that cared for her, Josiah was probably my favorite. He was always so kind with my mother in law. He took the time to talk to her, even though she was heavily sedated, before he gave her medications, performed routine maintenance of the ventilator and even when she was in pain he would calmly hold her hand and try to calm
