Education is an important issue that affects the development of a country.
As Nelson Mandela said. “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”. In Yemen, there are many educational problems that need to be solved. The current situation is very poor education. Students rather work than go to school. There is huge overseas from the government and department of education. But I believe that every problem has a solution.
Most of the problems that will be discussed are in the elementary and high schools. Also many students don’t go to colleges because they are not accepting in colleges according to their low grades.
In Yemen, education is something not really important to many people. If they just understand how to read and write, they think that’s good enough to know. Many of students finish high school and stop there. Most of the public schools crowded with many students. Sometimes one class reaches to a hundred students and more. Also there is time when they put two or three classes together in one room. Many students pass classes and graduate from high schools by cheating or bribing the school directors and teachers. Students hate schools because some teacher are tough and punish them hardly. Also the teachers are not in happy situation either because they receive low salaries that don’t cover their live basic needs. It’s too hard to get in the colleges because they require high grades. Rich students always have better value than poor students. They get better chances to get the government grants and scholarships to further their education out of t...

...eration. Also the teachers shouldn’t punish students by beating them, and they should use other methods to punish them. For example, notify the parents about their kids or report them to the school directors. Also teachers have to make students love schools and love education by making the subjects interesting. And the most important solution comes from the people and student side. Parents have to build dreams in their kids’ brains. They have to encourage them to go to schools and learn. They have to stop punish them to work at a very early age.
In conclusion, if everybody agrees with this solution, the education in Yemen will improve and the country will develop. Students will have a brighter future and more organized live. Kids will not have to work at early ages. And everybody will be happy. Also there will be more job opportunities.
person barely has enough to live, let alone invest in education, then it is nearly impossible to
Therefore, I believe that the solution to this is for them to join educational programs like the mentoring program and most of them have helped change the ladinos students in ways that motivates the more by not dropping out of school but staying in schools the programs provides them with ideas that staying in school is the only beneficial way to provide for their parent’s
Imagine you worked your whole life to get into a good college but the only thing things stopping you was that you’re homeless. The number of homeless is growing number, there is a way to help. Students with temporary living situations and a 3.0 GPA should earn free college tuition. Children with temporary living situations should be able to earn free college tuition because they work hard for their GPA, education is very important, and because the parents are not financially stable.
Many kids have to work for their families and they are only getting paid around 3 dollars a month. Also, many kids aren’t getting a good education so they might have the same job when the grow up. Also some kids only get one break and it is for lunch. Many places they don’t let them leave the tobacco field or factory. What can we do about this?
Although an immigrant may have been residing in the state for years, they are not allowed to receive in-state tuition for college and must pay the high out of state or the international student tuition instead. Due to the fact that they are illegal immigrants, most individuals in these families are not able to acquire jobs that pay higher than minimum wage and cannot afford to go to college because of these high tuition rates. Some of these individuals were among the top ranked students in their high schools and have the dedication and determination to achieve whatever they set their mind to. This problem hinders their ability to achieve their goals. This issue affects me on a personal level because one of my very good friends is currently having this dilemma.
For most families with teenagers applying for colleges there is one main question―what will it cost us? According to The College Board, the average cost of tuition and fees for the 2013–2014 school year was $30,094 at private colleges, $8,893 for state residents at public colleges, and $22,203 for out-of-state residents attending public universities. Although these numbers are averages, the actual costs of colleges are widely varied. A sad truth about this is that many students and their families don’t even know where all their money is going. Normally the money is paying for tuition; fees; housing and meals; books and school supplies; and personal and transportation expenses. As showed in the average cost of college, usually a school has a lower tuition for in-state residents and a vastly higher tuition for ou...
Steve Cohen shows the disparity between the rising cost of college and a family’s capability to afford it. Cohen explains “Tuition has risen almost 1,200 percent in the last 35 years, and the sticker price for many four-year private colleges and out-of-state public universities exceeds $250,000.” Moreover, he goes on to say that even at public universities, it is about $80,000 for four years for tuition and other college related expenses. Later in his article, Cohen explains how this leaves middle-class families in a very uncomfortable situation. The parents or other money-making entities in the household want their student to go to college and earn a degree, but now there can be an element of stress in figuring out how the fees will be paid for. As you know, the cost of higher education has steadily risen through the years and students are going into increasingly more debt to finance their education. Furthermore, most students must maintain a job to defray the cost of living, especially if their family can not help them monetarily.

Having less time and get to be out free to the world and walk around and do things,
The main thing that people will way is that there is no competition or reason to work since everybody is now equal. Now, that’s just the corruption of capitalism talking. These people are too worried about how much money they will have and how much disposable income they can spend on meaningless items that they would never touch. Once these people realize that the only thing that matters is the happiness of the nation as a whole, they will be completely on board with the rest of us who are perfectly sane.
America is a blessed country in numerous ways, and its citizens reap the benefits. Free education is one major benefit that not many other countries provide for their citizens. While it is only a privilege to many, but in the States, people have the right to be educated. However, free education cannot be translated to success for all. For those motivated ones who cherish the privilege to be educated are those who climb up the success ladders later in life. For a certain majority of students in the States, our current educational system may not seem to serve its purpose. In this paper, I will explore two possible adjustments that could be made to improve our system to benefit our next generation. Academic improvement and class size reduction are the two adjustments that I will elaborate on.
Fees and loans are too big of a load for young people to carry. A lot of students drop out do to the pressure of having to worry about all the loans they have to pay back after they are done with college. This should not be an issue to the student. According Iatham Emmmons, “Even worse, a large portion of students never receive funding at all due to the multitude of stipulations that must be adhered to in order to qualify for assistance. A major flaw in the current federal educational assistance programs is that the students’ parents’ income is used to calculate financial need” (Emmons 3). Even citizens who try to get help by applying for funding never end up getting it because they do not meet the needs required for the funding. Education should be p...
Education is a very important aspect of the lives of all people all over the world. What we learn, not just in the classroom, shapes who we are. We take our education everywhere we go. We use it when talking to our buddies about sports or music, we use it while solving a math problem, we use our education while debating with our family whether or not we should watch TV or go to the movies. Our education is the foundation of who we are, since every decision we make and every thought we think is dependent on what we know. Imagine how different the world would be if everyone craved learning to such a degree that at lunch tables all over the world the topic of conversation isn't who likes who, or how drunk someone got over the weekend, but it would be what books were read over the weekend, and what new ideas were thought of. This crave for learning would be an ideal but still suggests need for improvement with the current educational system. It seems that the problem with education is that somewhere along the lines the human race forgot (assuming they, at one point, understood how valuable information is) that learning is not just a mandatory process, but also an opportunity to transcend and open the gateway to a better understanding.
Take for example small businesses, or larger teleworker companies where people are allowed to work from home. Leisure time does not always increase, the managers and the companies require the workers the same amount of time spent on the job, so people should become more productive and a lot more work will be done. A bonus of this would be that as leisure time increases, the leisure industry will grow, and more people would use the leisure time, which would improve the workers morale. Another effect of ICT on the society is the introduction of home shopping over the Internet, this aspect could possibly result in people never leaving their homes, doing everything from home, possibly resulting in house bound individuals who could not leave their houses even if they wanted to. Continuing on this vein, talking about working at home, the amount of required offices may be reduced.
