Cars are large objects of great mass which can reach very fast velocities, this can be a dangerous combination if the physics aren’t correct. Seeing as there is over 1.2 billion cars world wide, physicians have put much detail into aspects of cars to make them as safe as possible. In the paragraphs below I will be be briefly discussing different aspects of the everyday automobile and its safety.
There were over six million cases of car accidents in the United States alone, about 41% of these incidents involved a male, between the ages of 16-19. Most accidents are caused by distractions such as music and cell phones which caused over three thousand deaths last year. This is a big issue in young drivers today, as they lack respect of how much damage a moving vehicle is truly capable of.
What type of car is known to be the safest? If you think that a Smart Car standing at about 1,808 pounds is going to stand up to a 7,300 pound Cadallic Escalade that is just upright silly. The size and weight of a the car has a huge impact on the damage it can cause swell as its safety. Head on collisions are known to be the most damaging collision are they take up over 59% of all moralities, as the energy between the two cars are directly centred causing a direct impact with the greatest combine momentum. Cars are made to withstand head on collisions but, many head on head crash tests using the Escalade and the Smart Car revealed that if this collision were to happen on the road, there is a 88% chance that all passengers within the Smart Car would be seriously injured and or dead. This is a scary statistic seeing as there are lots of both cars on our roads today. Why are cars like this allowed on the road? I think that physicians sh...

... servility index. The thing is mind when the engineers are designing a car are to have a crumple zone at the front and rear of the car, keeping the steering column from collapsing upon the driver chest and making sure that the vehicle has a strong survival cage around the passengers. These are the three main aspects of what the Motor Vehicle Safety Standards set by the Federal Government look for.
In conclusion the car has been evolved and engineered for the up most safety for the passengers. In the paragraphs above, I have explained the three main aspects of how cars are becoming safer. Cars are known in my family as big killing machines which they are, I believe that car has the potential to cause catastrophic outcomes if the right precautions aren’t taken to make them as safe as possible for the passengers as well as the pedestrians who walk the streets.
Imagine that your car could detect hazardous roads before you could sense it? A feature that provides this type of protective driving exists within European cars. This valuable safety feature that is offered in European cars i...
When a person dies in an accident or become disable because of an accident, it is not only a single life will be effected by a preventive accident, it is about the emotional connection to those life of so many life who will be suffering because of the devastating accident. According to the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention, “In 2013, 2,163 teens in the United States ages 16–19 were killed and 243,243 were treated in emergency departments for injuries suffered in motor vehicle crashes.1 That means that six teens ages 16–19 died every day from motor vehicle injuries”(CDC). Today alarming numbers of teens are dying not because of drugs, not even from drinking and driving, but because of the accident which could have prevented. Today smartphone is gaining popularity on all ages, particularly among the teenagers, and these smartphone also fueled teens who were already engaging on phone while driving. Report published from American Psychological Association that, parents are having a direct role on distracting their kids while they were driving. Forty three percent of teens said that they talk to their parent while driving and another twenty six percent of teen text. ( in need intext citation )If we have so many data and research that are saying loud about the fatality number on distraction teens while driving, why parents are forcing their kids to die. According to the National Highway Traffic Administrations year 2011 report, teenager from age fifteen to nineteen years make ten percent of all drivers who involve in a fetal crash who were distracted while operation moto vehicle; most of them were using a cell phone (NHTSA 2015), we have to acknowledge the risk of our decision and that five seconds of time spending off of road to read a massage will cost a life and
...ture a risk-taking species. In ancient times we took risks just to eat. Later we took huge risks by setting out in little wooden ships to explore the earth's surface. We continued as we sought to fly, travel faster than the speed of sound and to head off into space. We rely on increasingly more complex equipment and constantly strive to design and manufacture faster and even more elaborate devices. It goes without saying that every effort is made to ensure our "safety"; to keep us from harm or danger. Every time you slide behind the wheel of your vehicle you are taking a risk. Driving is the riskiest activity in our lives. It is an inherently "unsafe" environment. The most perfect vehicles on the best designed highways on beautiful sunny days driven by fallible human beings crash into each other. The only way to drive "safely" (as we are all admonished to do!) is to learn more about the process. Learn more about your vehicle and how to maintain it; learn how to use your eyes to look far down the road; learn to spot problems before they happen; and also learn to deal with emergency situations. In most cases it's the human element that fails. After all, safe is only as safe does.
Since the automobile was first created, more and more safety precautions have been taken to make an automobile ride as safe as possible. I will provide information on how to keep you and your car up to date with some precautions to ensure safety on the road.
For all these features any car can still crash so this report aims to make you more aware of the safety aspects of modern cars and what role they play in driving.
Teenagers are getting back on the roads and behind the wheel, meaning the risk of accidents is higher. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among 15- to 20-year olds. Automakers are creating ways to make their automobiles safer in order to reduce these deaths. Teenage drivers are inexperienced and need the extra protection to keep them safe if an incident were to occur. Automobile safety features are necessary for the teenage driver to stay protected and alert.
These days, almost everyone will eventually cross paths with reckless drivers who have dangerous habits while behind the wheel. For many of these drivers, the car continues to serve as a social hobby. They can range from texting and talking, to applying makeup, to failing to use turn signals, etc... Also there is a responsibility that is mutually present and shared amongst all those individuals who come out on the road and drive. However, most modern day drivers have developed dangerous habits that tend to jeopardize lives and properties.
This is also an ethical dilemma which face the designers. As for the previous problems I will show both the opponent and proponent opinions. As for the proponent one the design team believe that that it is ethically justified because when people buy this car they are informed before that has higher degree of risks and this is compared to the situation of buying a motorcycle knowing that it has higher risks. The opponent opinion states that it is unethical because the standard of safety is set by the heavy cars and it is unacceptable to design cars which have levels of risks below the standard. Since people who will drive such cars are obliged to do so because of their financial situation and thus they will suffer higher risks because of these
The force of the impact can be greatly reduced even with a slight reduction in speed. Crash test results show the occupant injury and death can be reduced by designing vehicles with softer front end structures. Statistics show the risk of being killed in a motor vehicle on US roads has decreased each year.
Nobody goes onto the roads with a hope to die, we all want to come home to your families. This will be if we drive safely. Safe driving should come from within us and it is very much possible to prevent the road crushes that are being reported every now and then, occurring from mere destructions (2). Safe
Automotive ethics is a subject that is often over looked. Not many people tend to look at what is ethical in the automotive industry; most people are generally satisfied if they can get a good deal on a car. However, in reality, automotive ethics has an affect on how automobiles are made, what regulations the government puts on them, and their hazard on the environment. Before the engine was invented, life revolved around a much more complicated system of transportation. Much advancement in technology has been made to make the common lifestyle today much easier; a few examples are cellular telephones and onboard navigation systems in automobiles. Cellular telephones and navigation systems have become an everyday item, but nobody looks at the dangers that can have while operating a motor vehicle.
With newer riders joining the seasoned veterans on the glorious open road, every day, the dangers of the road increase as well. Cars are fine machines; great modes of transportation. They are also tanks and can roll over a body, head, or leg with ease. The danger that riders face today is even more so. With cars that are easier to drive, drivers have become less aware; more comatose.
...ll as the individuals around us. The future of vehicular technology is filled with limitless potential and possibility, granting us with better features to assist us in safety and transportation. It is without questioning that as technology in automobiles increases and improve, the health and well being of mankind and the entire world will also benefit. Just as advancement in medicine can impact our everyday lives, the technology used in cars will help people of all ethnicities live a safer life whenever on the road for whatever purpose.
I can travel safely when in the car because if it is deathly hot outside I could turn the air conditioner on before I overheat. The car also allows me to travel in a safe manner because if it is very cold outside you can turn on the heat in the car by using the heat the engine produces. The car lastly allows me to travel in a safe manner because the car has seat belts and airbags which might save my life in some situations. I will now inform you on the conclusion I have reached about how the car has affected my life.
Road safety is one of the most important aspects of daily living. Our vehicle is our main transportation from one place to another. The number of car and motorcycle accidents seem to be increasing because of the many distractions, the lack of safety measures and judgment to road conditions and weather. Not being cautious increases the chances of not only injuring ourselves but hurting others as well. On the road, you see people talking on their cell phones or texting, eating, putting makeup on, changing the radio station, reading or using your GPS while driving. These are all distractions that endanger drivers, passengers and bystanders safety. Safe driving involves off-road precautionary measures such as making sure tires are properly inflated, testing windshield wipers, getting regular oil changes and tune-ups and adjusting the mirrors. All of these actions can help prevent an accident. Unfortunately, not all of us decide to wear our seat belts when driving or turn signal ligh...
