Poverty causes children to be involved in illegal things such as drugs and crime and the people that are involved in these risky behaviours are children. If parents don’t have enough money to support their child, they will be forced to steal- this is linked back to education- if you are unable to earn a decent wage because of lack of education you will be forced to commit a crime. The recent video file by Bergsma touches on this issue with in depth. Bergsma has attempted to show and explain the unawareness of child poverty through a story. The story was about a guy who named Bobby and lives in poverty. Generally, the entire story was criticized from his perspective that how he experienced living in poverty and abandoned his life. In the video, Bergsma (2014) articulates that Bobby has faced hard time in his school life because he doesn’t eat proper and lead to inadequate of nutritious requirements. These all makes his school life worse resembling lack of concentrations and being bullied at school.

Conversely, Albanese (2010) and Bergsma (2014) stepped into the same thought of how poverty affects student learning and participation in school activities For example; Children are at the most vulnerable stage of upbringing. Mainly this stage of vulnerability occurs outside of the home and possible in school. Many children face the problems of being teased because they are poor and secluded from the main stream children at schools. Children begin to believe what others constantly tell them and live under the pressure of conforming to the other school kids. ...t us as a country need to commit to the change. Volunteering is a perfect way to end poverty, there are soup kitchens and food pantries all over Canada that need people to help out. Donating money, food and clothes to a local food bank or start a food drive in your community is also helpful to ending child poverty. Demonstrating leadership and creating groups of people who want to make a difference to end poverty is what we need in this world. In this group you can get everyone to bring in money once a week and then every month donate it to charities. As we discussed in the class, we can volunteer to tutor or help adolescents find jobs or teach them life skills and donate money to education and people who need money to go to school. Let’s improve this world one step at a time together and it will lead to create many chance of a successful future for poor children.
