Technology has done a complete 360. From phones taking half of a coffee table to one that that fits in its corner. Phones aren’t the only change, the internet as well. There was a time when the internet didn’t exist. When it did come about only words existed on the internet page. Now there are interactive pictures or whatever a person can think of. As the internet evolved so have students. Teen students now can operate almost any technology device they can get their hands on. Plus, the internet provides social media sites that allow students to get in contact with their friends outside of school; for example, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. If students are more interested in social media sites like these, should the educational system change? In other words, would it be more effective to design teachers’ educational lesson plans like a social media site to teach teen students? Yes, social media sites should be used to teach students because it would affect the department of education’s budget, would , and would affect physical and psychological health.
Before diving into details about the opposing team, we must first discuss social media and education, plus its relationship with technology. What is social media? The school system adapted technology because of the increase in technology use amongst teens and everyone else in the w...

He is also clearly stating he does not like pop up ads than the actual pictures on the website. Well it pays for the site that the users use for free, and then most people wouldn’t mind the pop up ads.
Believe it or not social media sites can make a person an addict. For example, a person checks their Facebook, or twitter page every five to ten minutes. This can be very time consuming because of the time that is being used to check them, which could be used for something else.

My Capstone Proposal Project will be about sleep disturbances associated with cardiac surgery patients. One of the major complaints from the cardiac surgery population is the inability to sleep at night. My proposed strategy consists of the idea that by increasing nursing education and intervention there will be a reduction in sleep disturbances for the cardiac surgery population.
Choosing a KPI as the desired organizational improvement for a capstone project is not a good idea. KPIs are used to measure how well an organization is performing; subsequently, they do not address strategic goals and objectives of an organization. KPIs present an overall picture of long ranged improvements based on a multi-cycle action project; consequently, they do not provide a plan of improvement that can be utilized immediately to solve a problem that can address the performance level of the organization.
To begin with, social media has been proven to be a dangerous addiction due to the many negative side effects like: sleep deprivation, and self-esteem problems. Most of the adult American population is connected to some sort of social media site, and they have joined the banned wagon of people whom check their social media accounts at least five times a day. Using social media to often can be time consuming and essentially causes sleep deprivation because the user stays up late on social media. Since social media has grown in popularity many have began to believe that social media is a life necessity. It is viewed by many as a daily necessity like brushing our teeth, or yet as important as eating. People whom are constantly on social media have been linked to develop self-esteem problems because they are so consumed on pretending and portraying this image of a person they are not. Social media has became such an addiction that many people wake up and the first thing they do is...
In today’s day and age, almost all kids have a smartphone and know how to work technology. Kids are able to browse the internet, sign into Netflix, twitter, Facebook, etc. It is a great idea that kids are expose to what the future maybe, and are learning from technology, but parents should limit what their children use the computer for and how much time they spend on it. Most children are e in the here and now and want to be associated with what is cool in society. Many elementary schools, middle school kids are on every social media you could think of, and though parents may not think it’s such a bad thing they should know that some things that are presented online are most of the inapprotie for these kids. It is not only social media, videogames
The addiction that social networks can create causes their benefits to diminish as they become harmful to its users rather than being useful and efficient especially when users intemperate with the use of these network and rely on it to communicate with people and waste several hours every day where dangers such as becoming isolated or other health problems that most doctors perceive during experiments on these users arise. Therefore, social networking should be self-monitored by users to make sure they are using it correctly and make a specific schedule that will cause them to become less addicted to them and make more time for other activities and personal interactions with others to make the most out of it without being affected by its negative effects.

As technology increases and develops in this century, the use of social media increases as well. Schools have begun adapting it, using it as their tool to inform students of any school related news. However, using it as a tool for learning is a different story. By using it as a tool, it can push you off your course with classes. Social media is something that is not needed at school grounds. Schools should not require social media use in classes.

Exposing students to the power of social media in the classroom is an important part of preparing them to be active and positive digital citizens in a 21st century world. In the last two years, my own students have rapidly been drawn to Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and many other social networking platforms. They upload, share, and connect with others often without any regard to how their digital footprints may reflect them as individuals. Having continuous conversations with students about the choices that they make can lead to positive results. Students don't realize how powerful social media platforms can be in terms of networking, researching, and engaging in academic conversations. It makes me laugh every time I hear them whisper about my colleague Heather's or my Twitter feed. First of all kids, I can hear you. Second of all, yes, social media can be an amazing way to give and exchanged knowledge.
“Allowing the students to be given so much access to technology in the classroom may distract students from the students main goal potentially resulting in both lowered grades and lowered retention.” (Gonzalez) Gonzalez believes that social media should be used with precaution and limit how much college students should use social media or else it will affect their academic performance. Although many researchers are concerned with the negative effects that social media can have towards college students such time spent on social media or messaging their friends, there are still some researchers that believe that it is a balance between both student and teacher. “Although schools set rules that define appropriate behaviors with social digital networks, it appears that students and teachers frequently negotiate the boundaries and intersections of these tools and discourses through relationship founded on trust and respect.” (Charles) What Charles is trying to say is that there must be a neutral relationship between professor and student. The professor is the individual with authority inside a classroom then by setting the rules on the first day of class students could know if it is okay to use electronic

Technology affects everyone! Whether positive or negative, we are all affected, how it manifests itself into problems for youth will be studied and debated for years. Balancing technology throughout the educational process and keeping with current trends and uses of technology will affect everyone. Technology has transformed our youth’s daily and social lives. How do we measure the effects of technology on our ability to socialize or have a successful social life? Socializing is not just talking face to face, it’s our ability to interact, learn, and create original thought. Technology hindering today’s youth and their ability to socialize is affecting their capacity to read, write, and communicate. Today’s youth depends on careful considerations for the implementation of technologies. Our youth do not have the capability to convey their emotions through the use of technology, understand sadness, happiness or joy through simple text or emails. Communicating through the use of text, chat, and social network sites is lost using abbreviations and slang, inhibiting the use of the Standard English language. Using computers and hand held devices for relationships, reading, writing, and entertainment, turning them into introverted and socially inept individuals. Current trends resonating from our educational institutions to our workplace can be examples of how technology has altered the way younger people communicate. This tragedy transcends from youth to adulthood affecting the workplace. Social networking sites have begun to take hours away from employers. How do students understand ethical and moral dilemmas unless they are allowed to make mistakes and work through a particular problem? Creative and original thought needs...
The effect can been seen on the society as people now hide behind screens and tend to have limited face to face commutation. It’s also ironic that many relationships were built through online chatting and later were disappeared without people meeting one another in reality. Perhaps, one of the most downsides of Social media is the weakening of the bond between family members. In other words, the overuse of technology such as laptops and smartphones have negatively affected healthy relationships and led to isolation, depression and psychological conditions due to the lack of support between family members. Education wise, social media is believed to be one of the reasons behind the drop in educational level and standard among teenagers and children. The great amount of time they spend on social medial is likely to affect their intelligence as the brain become lazier in memory and information processing. In addition, Students are now totally reliant on “google” to find the answer for their research assignments or a question in their homework before attempting it by themselves.
