Some are paid for how well they do their job and others are paid, because of their gender. It is extremely surprising, but women are not paid as much as men, because society demands and believes men work harder, are smarter, and overall do their job better than women. So, the only logical explanation to close the pay gap is just to not pay any women, which in turn would make every women quit. Now this might be a radical idea for some, but as many believe women are already useless in the workplace, so having them quite would actually help business. It would actually be extremely good for the economy to have to replace thousands of jobs and having thousands of businesses close, because they are run by women. The world never wants or needs to
watch another video on youtube, because their CEO is a women. It would actually make people get out of the house more and get more exercise, since youtube would be canceled or be downgraded. Also, millions of youtubers would have to get “real” job- except for the women of course. The world really never needed to experience the magical world J.K Rowling created. Just as society believes men are truly more creative and could have wrote the series in a much better way- if they would ever think of it. Also, another advantage of women never being paid and quitting all their jobs it could truly benefit the family. Almost every family can survive and thrive off a single paycheck from the man of the house. The man can handle paying every bill, paying all the insurance, and buying all the groceries. Also, women are only good at doing girly things, such as painting their nails, which must be where Frida Kahlo got all her girly talent from. Girly things like writing in their diaries, which is how Emily Dickinson and Maya Angelou expressed their irrelevant girly opinions and thoughts. Girls are good at being over dramatic, especially girls like Mila Kunis, and Angelina Jolie, who are totally useless in being able to make any money for their families. Overall, the word would be better without the help of women, who are only are good to look at, So, why should the pay gap be closed?
On the contrary, women still get paid less than men. According to CNN Money, “men still make more than women in most professions -- considerably more in some occupations than others, according to a new study by the job search site Glassdoor”. Although we like to comfort ourselves with the idea that we have gotten our rightfully earned rights, we had not been given bathroom breaks until 1998. Furthermore, employees are still afraid to have a voice in the workforce. Employers establish rules that let laborers know that they are inferior.

If I were to ask you why there is a pay gap, the most common answer I would get is this, “More women take time off to care for their families than men, and this explains their shortcomings in pay”. So then why, when comparing both men and women who have not taken time off, is there still a difference in pay? Like I said before, gender differences and industry choice can explain up to 50% of the gap. For example, women make up only 9% of workers in the high-paying legal and management occupations according to the article “The Complex Causes of the Gender Wage Gap” written by Barbara Wagner. What I found was that the discrimination doesn’t lie in the amount of money women and men are being payed, the bias against women is in the occupation and the job market before she even applies for the position. Barbara Wagner wrote in the article “The Complex Causes of the Gender Wage Gap” that women are less likely to be accepted into education and training programs in non-traditional fields like agriculture, architecture, and engineering. Gender discrimination is not a new topic, but it is oftentimes a controversial one. The differing political groups in the United States is a good example of how certain groups of people do not think the issue of a gender pay gap needs to be addressed. People on both sides of the political divide have dodged questions on whether or not the gender pay gap is a real issue and if it should be addressed. While some politicians may be divided, most scholars believe that having a gender gap does hamper the countries economy. The female-male wage gap is a very objective representation of an accepted form of male dominance, whether it is fair or not. In business, men have always been in control. Now, women are fighting for equality in the workplace. However, American culture wants a woman to be a house wife, to just stay home and take care of children. Why should they? They have the right to make their own decisions. If a woman is interested in a job and meets the qualifications that employer requires, she should be considered eligible for that job. The point is that men have treated women as subordinates throughout history because that is what they have been taught by the culture: that women are not equal to men.
