I will compare the two seasons with each other, and also try to establish if there are more factors that influence the fish than just hot and cold water. Fish are cold blooded animals. Their body temperature is regulated by the water temperature. As the water temperature cools down, from outside factors like pressure systems, the fish go through a biochemical change. Their metabolism will slow down and it affects their feeding behavior. With their metabolism slowing down, they will metabolize food more slowly, lessening their need to feed all the time. It will seem that the fish will bite a lot slower in the winter, compared to the summer, but if you don’t mind the cold, the fish is there to catch.
