William Shakespeare was one of the most profound writers and poets in history. He is famous for his plays and sonnets. William’s birthday is unknown but scholars have evidence to believe that, he was born April, 23, 1564 due to a baptism record. Shakespeare’s writing is so famous many think his words are used in the Bible. He was born and raised in England and eventually moved to London to build his theatre.
Shakespeare wrote plays that captured true human emotion and conflicts in life. He grew fame from writing these plays. His plays had different genres such as tragedies, comedies, history and tragic comedies. His most famous plays were Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet. Many proclaim
that lots of his sonnets were inspired by his wife Anne Hathaway. They were married on November, 28, 1582 and had three children together. William was 18 and Anne was 26 and Anne was pregnant. They had their baby girl Susanna and then had a set of boy twins named Hamnet and Judith. Hamnet died at age 11 of unknown causes. After his son’s death Shakespeare was undocumented for 7 years. Over Shakespeare lifetime he made 37 plays and hundreds of sonnets that are still read to this day. Many argue he was the greatest writer of all time. He died on his birthday. Shakespeare was born on April 23, 1564. He lived in Stratford-Upon-Avon from 1564 to 1616. He lived and worked in London from 1585 and 1592, he also opened The Globe Theatre in 1599 and the first place that he showed his own plays. He was considered radical as he brought about a new way of performance in theatres all over London.

Shakespeare was a poet, playwright and actor and has written about 38 plays, 154 sonnets, and two long narrative poems. Shakespeare wrote many successful plays such as, Julius Caesar, Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet. Romeo and Juliet was written in the mid-1590s in London and even today it is considered to be one of the greatest plays ever written. It is a play based on a long dispute between two families, the Montague’s and the Capulet’s, and takes place in the cities of Verona and Mantua, Italy, over the course of four short days.
