A famous director from Hollywood has been found dead. The man’s name is William Desmond Taylor. The date of his death occurred on February 2,1922. The murder occurred in Hollywood in the setting of his living room of his own house. He was killed by a .38 caliber which was used to shoot him in the back. After deep investigation and research, I have come to the conclusion of the person who committed this crime. I will be informing you with this information and why I have come to this result of this murder.
The killer that we believe committed the murder was none other than Charlotte Shelby. She did certainly have the means because she had a .38 caliber which was the basically the same as the gun William Taylor was killed with. Her motives were that she was jealous of her daughter which was currently in some sort of relationship with William. She was in jealousy because she offered herself to him before but he rejected her. She also is afraid that if her daughter does marry him, then she will leave and won’t be able to support her, with her money.She had the opportunity as well. For the means, the gun that Shelby had, was identical in measurement to the gun that WDT was murdered with. This would give us the greater odds of it being her gun and not someone else's. For the motive, yes she would have to worry about Mary not supplying her with money, because if she married William, Mary would most likely not supply her anymore because she did not really like her mother and wanted to get away from here. For the opportunity, you say that she was with Carl Stockdale that night and during the time of the murder they were at a local pub.
